  2. Woohoo! 2-0! Very happy with another win. Dillon Tucker has done exactly what I've asked of him this season so far, putting in another 200 yard 2 TD performance with no turnovers. The addition of Darius Sharpe to the offense to help take pressure off of Colbert has had the exact effect I had hoped, with Colbert still putting up numbers but fumbling less (knocks on wood). The receivers have all been good enough so far, with it being a sort of WR by committee. The offensive line has done a great job protecting Tucker and opening up holes for the RBs. The defensive line has done a great job getting to the opposing QB and wreaking havoc, racking up 6 sacks in the first 2 games. The DBs have done enough to not get burned. The Special Teams have been consistent. All in all, very happy with the record, this being the first time New Mexico has started the season 2-0 since the 2018 season where the Lobos finished 11-3 and won their division. I hope we can replicate that kind of success this season. GG Isaac, and good luck the rest of the season.

  3. Atlanta, GA Akili Wallace hits 100 Career Rushing TDs The Atlanta Falcons Front Office is proud to congratulate Running Back Akili Wallace for reaching an all important milestone for his ever impressive career. The 5th overall pick continues to cement his legacy as one of the best backs to have ever played in the league. We are proud to have him represent Atlanta as well as he has during his career here and we look forward to seeing him continue to perform this year. He has been the heart and soul of the offense seemingly from draft day in 2016 and we couldn't be happier for him reaching such an important milestone. #AkiliSmash

  14. Update #1 Dec 1899/Jan 1900 President McKinley Concerned with “Break Away” States At a recent whistlestop, President McKinley spoke to an anxious crowd in Ohio about the multiple rising break away movement in the United States. McKinley questioned the validity of their sovereignty claims, especially those of EPCOT which has seized control in Missouri and Illinois, the Association of the Forlorn, Abject & Trivial (AssFAT) which has loose control over large swaths of land west of the Mississippi River including a strong hold on South Dakota and North Dakota, and the Florida Alliance of Tribes which is claiming to control the state. McKinley spoke at length about the continued strength of the United States government and their position as a world power after the victory over the Spanish in the war. The crowd seemed to be calmed a bit by this speech. However, there are reports from Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that residents are feeling isolated from the rest of the nation. For now the United States doesn’t seem to be posturing towards any physical confrontation but economic pressures could make the situation even more complicated as many rail and trade routes run through the affected territory. Exposition Universelle Announced Officials in Paris France have announced a grand exposition to take place in 1900. Following the success of the 1899 Expo that introduced the world to the Eiffel Tower the French people hope to showcase their cultural and economic developments again in 1900. They are inviting all nations to send representatives along with exhibits to showcase their nations at the Paris Expo. Ferdinand Zeppelin Set to Unveil “Airship” Soon Speaking to colleagues, German Inventor Ferdinand Zeppelin indicated that his first “Airship” the Zeppelin LZ 1 is almost finished with construction. The world waits with bated breath to see if this contraption will turn into anything substantial or will be a failure. Marconi Transmits Wireless Message From Ship Aboard the S.S. At. Paul Guglielmo Marconi has transmitted the first return to port message from an ocean liner. Marconi signaled when the vessel was 66 miles from port. This amazing display of the power of wireless radio telegraphy has caused a stir in capitals around the world with many reports of Admirals in multiple navies requesting the investigation of the technology. New Miracle Medicine? Hailed as a cure to many ailments including headaches, German company Bayer has release Asprin to the public for sale. Many people are weary of this new drug and refuse to even try it, with some saying “It’s the Devil’s Work.” Who knows which side is right? Carnegie In Talks to Sell Off Steel Interests Scottish-American business Magnate Andrew Carnegie has been rumored to be in talks to sell off his vast steel empire. Carnegie is a proponent of using one's wealth to improve the community around you. Many Carnegie Libraries have already been established around the United States. With the sale of his business interests it’s speculated that Carnegie will continue to fund philanthropic endeavors, perhaps at a global scale. Hercules? A local man in Athens Greece is claiming to be the son of Zues. He has completed many feats of strength to prove his claim. No one has confirmed these reports Dracula? Panama Pleads, “Help Us With the Canal” Work has reportedly been hung up for many months now as the company working to create a canal that will allow ships to pass through Panama and avoid the treacherous trip around South America has gone bankrupt. The people of Panama have written multiple pamphlets and newspaper articles all over the globe soliciting for someone to take over the project. So far no one has agreed to undertake the expenditure that will surely take years to recuperate the investment. Naval experts predict a canal in Panama would increase trade by an untold amount. GOLD!? Rumors of a massive load of gold deep in the Amazon rainforest have caused a rush from many different nations of immigrants to the area. The rail network in the area is very limited and the local population seems to be overwhelmed with all the new arrivals. No credible amount of gold has been proven to exist yet. Sometimes the best move is to keep the game plan the same. Recognizing a coaching failure vs just out matched failure can be hard. Changing it up all the time can hurt your team.

  34. maybe the coach poll but not the illustrious AP poll where I just happen to be a pollster
    1 point
  35. Also for the pollsters, I'm sure you'll still have Tennessee ranked above me despite losing by 10 at Michigan where the Vols lost by 23 at home but I've come to understand that logic.

  38. gg @ndunkelbarger69 look forward to the return trip. An amazing performance by the Hoosiers today and we won't get as lucky if it was played on your field. After a more anemic result from Miami, I'm excited to see what we got out of my offense this time. Given the defensive stats--longest rush of 11, 3 sacks--and the two picks by Sherman, it seems like Indiana capitalized quickly on our mistakes in the first half and we were able to claw our way back? If I can just get Sherman's passing on track, I think we might be something this year.

  41. @bbates728 GG! Looks like that seals the fact that the MWC is better than the MAC per our agreement last year!!

  42. Well we'd be 2-0 if our games had ended at halftime. We also would have 0 points on the season if only the second halves counted. I'm pretty happy with this performance given how well West Virginia played in their first two games. The defense held them in check, but the offense still isn't consistent enough.
