  3. With B1G conference play in full swing let's take a look at the top performers. Let's start with the offensive side of the ball. Quarterback Top Performer: Evan Perkins (SO) Michigan - Perkins has excelled in all areas as he shares the B1G lead with 19 TDs and only 3 INTs and is second in the conference with 2217 yards and a QBR of 158.9. Challengers: EJ McGuire SR Northwestern - Putting up big stats as the leader in yards and TDs with 2334 yards and 19 TDs but also has thrown 7 INTs. Isaac Tyson (SO) Michigan State - Has been very efficient with 15 TDs to only 3 INTs and a QBR of 164.2. Running Back Top Performer: By a slim margin Frank Riggins (SR) Nebraska leads the way with 1077 yards (B1G leader) and 13 TDs. Challengers: Jamal Trufant (SR) Wisconsin - The workhorse for Wisconsin and the leader in TDs with 14 and ypg with 141.6. Nick Rowland (SO) Michigan - Explosive runner with a 6.21 ypc average and 1012 yards on the season.     No I didn’t drop him and I know I didn’t re-add him if somehow I accidentally dropped him. And he is not in-state or from a border state so if I dropped him wouldn’t he have been removed from my recruits list?

  11. The Hawkeyes and Yellow Jackets will face of at Kinnick stadium before both teams enter conference play. The Hawkeyes are 1-1 on the season after losing to in-state rival Iowa State 24-20. Iowa will look to get their ground game back on track as Iowa State's defense did a good job slowing them down. Georgia Tech comes in at 2-0 with wins over Ball St and Western Michigan. The Yellow Jackets are lead by senior QB Josh Beckett and senior linebacker Tanner Madison. Game Details Start time: 7:30pm TV Network: Fox Sports Line: Georgia Tech -7 O/U: 44

    Iowa State Welcomes Iowa for Cy Hawk Rivalry Game

    Saturday: 11:30pm - Iowa travels back to Iowa City with the Cy Hawk trophy Looking forward to a close game!
  14. The Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the Appalachian St Mountaineers 31-7 for their first win of the 2022 season. The Hawkeyes offense was lead by freshman running back Kedaveon Vaughn who ran for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns on 24 carries in his first collegiate game. Junior quarterback Otto Kirkland threw for one touchdown and ran for another. The Hawkeyes offense showed good efficiency on 3rd down converting on 5 of 9 opportunities. Iowa's defense was lead by sophomore defensive end Joe Hanley and senior outside linebacker Phillip McNally who both recorded 1.5 sacks. Iowa also forced 2 turnovers including an interception by junior cornerback Kaden Rivers and a fumble recovery. The Hawkeyes now turn their attention to the annual Cy Hawk rivaly game vs the Iowa State Cyclones. The 0-1 Cyclones are coming off a bye week. They lost their season opener on the road in a hard fought game against NC State. The Cy Hakw game will be played at Jack Trice stadium in Ames, IA on Friday night.
