  1. Great hauls so far for quite a few teams! And this is even without some of our Stars. Curious to see how well we can finish out now that we're getting to actual battles and not just uncontested croots.
  2. anxiously puts more points on all OL croots
  3. Does it work with waitresses, too? Asking for a friend.
  4. Got a 512 on my MCAT!!! (87th percentile)

THEPATRIOT.COM: CONFERENCE USA'S PREMIER NEWS AND ANALYSIS SITE C-USA Weekly Round-Up: Week 2 THE GAMES: Florida Atlantic Owls 41 - 44 Kansas State Wildcats Houston Cougars 24 - 7 Marshall Thundering Herd UTEP Miners 21 - 28 Utah State Aggies East Carolina Pirates 34 - 31 Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Florida International Panthers 20 - 34 Memphis Tigers North Texas Mean Green 21 - 28 San Diego State Aztecs Old Dominion Monarchs 14 - 27 UNLV Rebels Southern Miss Golden Eagles 42 - 27 Rutgers Scarlet Knights Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 7 - 48 USF Bulls UTSA Roadrunners 0 - 30 #17 Georgia Bulldogs Rice Owls 24 - 31 (OT) #20 Kansas Jayhawks Byes: Middle Tennessee, Charlotte, UAB GAME OF THE WEEK: Florida Atlantic Owls 41 - 44 Kansas State Wildcats In the nation's first game of Week 2, Florida Atlantic traveled to Manhattan, Kansas, for what many anticipated would be a simple case of a P5 team paying a small school to come get crushed. The Owls had a different plan. Despite allowing over 300 passing yards to Rahim "I Am The Greatest" Murrell, randye4's new squad hung around until the end, forcing the Wildcats to come from behind in the final quarter to pull out a victory. The Owls were led by redshirt freshman running back Sean Parham's 109 yards and 2 TD and sophomore quarterback Gregory Crowder's 3 total touchdowns. OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: QB Riley West, WKU, 20 of 30 for 285 yards, 3 TD DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: LB Connor Hitchcock, MRSH, 1 INT, 8 Tackles QUOTES OF THE WEEK: "WKU looks scary" -Charlotte HC and C-USA Commissioner @Isaac829 "I AM THE GREATEST. BUT MY DEFENSE SUCKS." - Kansas State QB Rahim Murrell (@HAFFnHAFF) "Holy shit I did it!" - Utah State HC @ZackTyzwyz "That FAU Punter [sic] has a leg on him... Dang" - West Virginia HC @smckenz3 POWER RANKINGS: 1. Rice Owls (0-2) My conscience almost didn't let me put a winless team at #1, but after the last two seasons, Rice holds the benefit of the doubt for this spot until they lose a conference game. And if we're being blunt, most teams in this conference would kill to take a ranked P5 team to overtime on the road. 2. Southern Miss Golden Eagles (1-1) As the owner of the conference's only win through Week 2 (yes, seriously), USM gets ranked above everybody not named Rice by default. 3. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (0-2) The Hilltoppers are rapidly becoming the Houston Rockets of CFBHC. Therefore, they get the three seed for now. 4. Florida Atlantic Owls (0-2) The Owls put up quite a fight against Big 12 team Kansas State, earning them a high spot in these rankings despite the loss. Coach @randye4, a legend from his time at Alabama, appears to already have his new rebuilding project ahead of schedule. 5-14. Everyone Else (mostly 0-2, some 0-1) Beyond that top four, it's still too close to make a meaningful call at this point. Marshall probably has the best chance of jumping out of this group, given their history the last two years, but it's all a mess for now. RECRUITING: Coming soon (Week 3)...
  6. *clears throat conspicuously* Other than Baylor, my dream-caliber schools would be OU, since I grew up a Sooner fan and loved going to games in Norman as a kid, and maybe Tulsa, since it's my hometown.
  7. Looks like those two picks were the difference, but I'll live with it given he's a true freshman playing his first ever college game. Encouraging signs elsewhere, although my pass rush evidently needs some work. Barksdale is gonna be a beast this year.
  8. THEPATRIOT.COM: CONFERENCE USA'S PREMIER NEWS AND ANALYSIS SITE C-USA Weekly Round-Up: Week 1, Part 1 MEMPHIS 35 - 31 UTSA (Thursday Night, San Antonio, TX) -How It Went Down: In an exciting barnburner that thrilled until the final whistle, UTSA junior RB Elias Cameron opened the scoring early in the first quarter by powering up the middle for a 3 yard touchdown run. The teams traded scoring drives to end the first quarter with UTSA leading by a score of 14-7. Memphis countered with a flawless second quarter as redshirt sophomore running back Colin Putnam found paydirt twice, bookending a pick-6 by Tiger safety Amari Ragland. As the teams retreated to the locker rooms for halftime, it appeared that after their third unanswered touchdown, Memphis was starting to pull away. But, the Roadrunners fought back in the third as Luca Sorenson threw his second passing touchdown of the day and ran in another to tie the game at 28 heading into the fourth. Putnam's third touchdown of the contest then proved to be the decisive score, with the Tiger defense staving off a late UTSA rally. Sorenson finished 15 of 30 for 196 yards, with 2 passing touchdowns and another on the ground, an encouraging performance for the true freshman making his first career start. Look to see the talented Sorenson continue to improve as his career progresses. -Top Performances: RB Colin Putnam, MEM, 23 for 106 yards, 3 TD DE Jaylen Love, MEM, 2.5 Sacks, 5 Tackles RB Elias Cameron, UTSA, 21 for 94 yards, 1 TD -They Said It: "yikes defense pls" - Vxmonarkxv, MEM HC HOUSTON 35 - 14 LOUISIANA TECH (Friday Night, Ruston, LA) -How It Went Down: The Bulldogs started their first game of the season with a bang, as senior QB Lukas Shea hit 6'5" sophomore WR Jordan Hobson for a 6 yard touchdown pass to open the scoring. Unfortunatley for Tech, the rest of the night was all Houston. The Cougars struck hard and fast in the first half, controlling the game with a punishing rushing attack led by 200 lb power back Justice Womack, who racked up 93 yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 rushes. Houston QB Rickie Shaffer added 83 yards and the exclamation point fourth quarter touchdown on just 6 carries. A second quarter touchdown dive from a yard out was the only bright spot of the day for Bulldog freshman running back Ilan Lunsford, who consistently struggled to find gaps against the talented Cougar front 7. Shea finished 23 of 42 for 280 yards with a touchdown and a pick and looks to be the team's offensive leader going forward. -Top Performances: RB Justice Womack, HOU, 21 for 93 yards, 2 TD QB Lukas Shea, LT, 23 of 42 for 280 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT QB Rickie Shaffer, HOU, 14 of 24 for 188 yards, 1 TD; 6 for 83 yards, 1 TD -They Said It: "Logan Ware, INT return for TD; This is what I like to see" - noodlz2, HOU HC INDIANA 38 - 10 FLORIDA ATLANTIC (Friday Night, Boca Raton, FL) -How It Went Down: On a beautiful night in Boca Raton, the Owls led 3-0 after a 22 yard FG by Josue DeJesus for a beautiful 2 and a half minutes before everything went very downhill very fast as Indiana QB Adrian Rupp took over the game, throwing a 27 yard touchdown to Miguel Elias and scoring a 19-yarder on the ground before the end of the first quarter. By halftime, the score was 31-3 Hoosiers. Atlantic sophomore receiver Jeffrey Jorgenson scored the Owls' only touchdown of the night on a 74 yard punt return in the third quarter. Rupp finished with 4 total touchdowns, 2 in the air and 2 on the ground. -Top Performances: QB Adrian Rupp, IN, 20 of 29 for 240 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT; 5 for 48 yards, 2 TD RB Julian Early, IN, 24 for 103 yards, 1 TD RB Sean Parham, FAU, 25 for 94 yards -They Said It: *gif of dude in Jets jersey fist-pumping* - LDYo, IND HCs CHARLOTTE 7 - 30 USF (Saturday Morning, Tampa, FL) -How It Went Down: Bulls QB Daniel Lentz hit WR Claudio Howard for a 15 yard touchdown in the first quarter, and the rout was on from there. The 49ers struggled heavily in the pass game against USF, as true freshman QB Chris Billings threw for only 157 yards with 2 picks. Lentz, however, gashed the Charlotte defense for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Charlotte defense fared much better against the run, holding USF to only 83 yards on the ground, but their effort meant little in the grand scheme of the game, as a fourth quarter safety to bring the score to 30-0 put an exclamation point on a dominant day by the Bulls defense. Billings connected with sophomore TE Jonathan Cason for a late 5 yard touchdown that provided the final margin. -Top Performances: QB Daniel Lentz, USF, 23 of 35 for 277 yards, 2 TD RB Johnny Taylor, USF, 18 for 83 yards, 2 TD DT James Blue, USF, 1 Sack, 1 Safety, 3 Tackles -They Said It: "we tried" - Isaac829, CHAR MIDDLE TENNESSEE 0 - 59 PENN STATE (Saturday Morning, State College, PA) -How It Went Down: Penn State is the #1 team in the country. It showed. -Top Performances: QB Tanner Bowman, PSU, 22 of 32 for 295 yards, 4 TD RB Ricky Vega, PSU, 23 for 128 yards, 3 TD CB Austin Sheppard, PSU, 1 INT, 2 Tackles, 1 TD -They Said It: "I expect nothing and I'm still let down" - shibe, MTSU HC OLD DOMINION 7 - 24 VIRGINIA (Saturday Morning, Charlottesville, VA) -How It Went Down: Once again, another C-USA team fought hard but simply couldn't keep up with a superior P5 opponent. The Monarchs' defense largely held the Virginia offense in check until a pair of rushing touchdowns by Reginald Sanders, the second set up by a Soldier Brooks fumble recovery, put the game out of reach in the Cavaliers' favor. Sophomore running back Isaiah Mitchell scored the Monarchs' first points of the season with a 4 yard touchdown run in the fourth. Rushing offense was one of the few bright spots for Old Dominion, as the team collectively averaged 4.93 yards per carry. -Top Performances: LB Soldier Brooks, UVA, 1 FF, 1 FR, 6 Tackles QB Matteo Rook, UVA, 23 of 38 for 303 yards, 1 TD WR Hunter Crenshaw, UVA, 5 for 77 yards, 1 TD -They Said It: "I don't think I'm upset" - KakesuSora, ODU HC

  13. News . EL PASO, TX-- After a long search, UTEP officials announced Wednesday morning the hiring of TheTrain23 as the school's new football coach. Train was clearly excited to begin his tenure as a CFBHC head coach for the Miners, exclaiming "DRILL BABY, DRILL!" at the top of his lungs at the conclusion of the press conference. "I think we have a pretty good squad here," he continued, "and I'm excited to see what we can achieve together. I believe we can compete for a Conference Championship in year one, and win or lose, we'll always be a hard-fighting team. I'm looking forward to meeting the team and beginning our march to victory." TheTrain23's previous coaching experience includes 2 years as a defensive coordinator and safeties coach for the Baylor University Men's Choir Intramural Flag Football team, including a 2014 season in which BUMC's vicious pass rush and ballhawking secondary (almost) led the team to a Cinderella playoff bid, and a year as the head coach of the Baylor Running Club Intramural Flag Football team. Pundits have been somewhat split regarding the hire, with detractors pointing to his disastrous winless tenure at BRC. Others have been more enthusiastic, such as Lee Corso, who was quoted as saying "Not so fast! This guy has one adorable pet dog. That's good enough for me; I believe in him, and you should too." As of press time, Train is reportedly driving around the city to find all the best taco joints.
  14. See ya then! Also, how do I do a comment signature?
  15. Woo! Mine 'em, Miners! Or something like that. I'm still working on the new catchphrase.
  16. 1. Please list your email address and/or your reddit username at which you can be contacted. Email: zane_Dennis@baylor.edu Reddit username: thetrain23 2. Before continuing, please thoroughly read the coaching course and feel free to ask questions. Confirm that you have read the coaching course by writing "Confirmed" below. Confirmed 3. What team do you want to coach? Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders 4. Please select two backup teams (in descending order of preference) in case your first choice is unavailable. Old Dominion Monarchs UTEP Miners (I'll take anything open TBH) 5. In three or more sentences, tell us a little about yourself. How old are you, what do you do, where are you from, why would you be a good fit here, etc. I am a 21-year-old junior from Tulsa, OK attending Baylor University to study bioinformatics (and I'm also pre-med). I am a Supplemental Instructor for Chemistry I and II (basically like a hybrid TA/designated tutor for the professor; I teach sessions twice a week and also have office hours). I believe I would be a good fit here because I love sports, especially the data/statistics side. College football in particular was my first love, and I look forward to being able to participate in a data-driven college football community. 6. This site can be as time consuming as you want it to be. Weekly duties can be completed in 30 minutes or less, however interacting with your fellow players throughout the week makes it more enjoyable for most people. Approximately, how much free time do you have during a typical week? Usually between 2 - 4 hours during the workweek, plus I'm usually free for most of Saturday. 7. Losing games is an inevitable reality on this site, especially when accepting newer teams. Do you believe you can handle losing? Disappointment is expected, however we have had issues with people freaking out, and even leaving the site because of losing. I believe I can handle losing. I am a veteran of various competitive endeavors, including a lot of sports, and as a mediocre athlete I have long since learned to handle losing with dignity. 8. How did you find out about this site? If recommended by a friend, please post his/her username. I came here from neovenator250's /r/cfb comment. Don't know his username on here.
