Host: Hello and welcome to The Toledo Rockets Show! I am here with Coach choninja21. How are you doing today, Coach?
choninja21: I'm doing pretty well.
Host: Coach, let me start by congratulating you on this week's win over Kentucky and your first win as a Head Coach of this program.
choninja21: Thank you so much! This is historic moment for me personally, as it is my first win in D1. I look forward to many more wins in the future.
Host: What a win it was. Let's take a look at the first half highlights.

Host: The Rockets went into the locker room up by four at the half. Coach, what were your thoughts for the team going into the second half?
choninja21: I was happy about the way our defense was playing. They came up with some big stops and forced Kentucky to have to settle for two field goals. On the other side of the ball, I was concerned about our offensive production. We were forced to punt on some key third downs due to offensive mistakes and we already talked about the interception. We also had some unnecessary penalties as well. I told the guys in the locker room that we needed to buckle down and play a more disciplined game.
Host: We'll see if the players took Coach's advice in the second half highlights.

Host: That's the final score: Rockets-31, Wildcats-27. Coach, how did you feel about how the team did in the second half?
choninja21: Again, I was happy on the defensive side of the ball. They showed up when we needed key plays and only allowed two scores, one in each quarter. The offense was able to get something going on the ground and we were able to hold onto the lead.
Host: How do you think the team did overall this week? Were there any standouts?
choninja21: We talked earlier about him but Blake Gauthier had a big game with four tackles, two for a loss, a sack, and an interception. He is a key piece of the defense moving forward. Along with guys like Jerraud Bynum and Quinton Wilkerson.
Host: How about on offense?
choninja21: I was pleased with the run game this week. Alvin Hines had almost 100 yards on 17 attempts and 2 TDs. He had some big shoes to fill and he is making a valiant effort to fill them.
Host: What do you see that has room for improvement on this team?
choninja21: Well on offense, the air game needs a bit of work in my opinion. Giovanni Grubbs was barely over 50% in completions and it wasn't due to drops. The two interceptions didn't help either. I have no complaints about the defense or special teams.
Host: Speaking of Grubbs, there was a ton of buzz in the media about him getting the quarterback position over other members on the roster. How do you see his role moving forward?
choninja21: I will make my decision in regards to his starting role this week during practice. To put it simply, it will be a decision that will either push us forward or hold us back.
Host: Well, congratulations again on the win and I wish you more success moving forward.
choninja21: Thank you so much and thank you to all of the Rockets fans for supporting this team. I know having a new coach after a long time coach leaves is not easy.
Host: That is all the time we have for today. The Rockets have their first home game of the season against UNLV. We will see you there and meet you back here next week for another edition of the Toledo Rockets Show.
