    5. The entire Georgia Bulldog family would like to celebrate the NFLHC career of offensive tackle, Chris DeMarco. Chris was a starter in Athens from 2013-2014 and helped lead Georgia to 19 wins and the 2014 SEC East Title. He was selected in the 6th round of the 2015 draft by the hometown Atlanta Falcons. After not seeing the field for the Falcons in 2015, he was selected with the 17th overall pick in the 2016 Expansion Draft by the (then) San Diego Chargers. He went on to start 44 consecutive games for the Chargers from 2016-2018 before joining the rotation on the left side. He played three more seasons for the Chargers before recently announcing his retirement. "Chris was one of the stalwarts on our offensive line back in our inaugural season at Georgia. He was one of our big leaders and helped make sure everyone on the offensive line knew their assignment. From our first practice, I knew he'd end up playing on Sundays and I couldn't be more proud of his seven year pro career." -UGA Head Coach Franz Kafka (2013-2017, 2021-present) "I think he and big McKelvey were our starting tackles back in 2013 and those guys kept my jersey clean almost every Saturday. It makes your job a lot easier as a quarterback when you've got great tackles. I knew the Falcons got a sleeper in that draft and I think the Chargers made a hell of a pick in that expansion draft." -UGA QB Sam Armour (2013-2014) Rookie player line: OT Chris DeMarco 6-7 319 R Georgia [Run Blocking] 71 Final player line: OT Chris DeMarco 6-7 319 6 Georgia [Run Blocking] 77 Congratulations, Chris!

      [2021] Kafka's CCG Previews: AAC

WELCOME TO KAFKA'S 2021 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME PREVIEWS ep. 5: #25 Temple Owls (9-3) @alienufo vs. #21 Navy Midshipmen (9-3) @TheTodd15 Who will prevail in the first ever ranked vs. ranked AAC championship game? Three important matchups: OT Isaac Montalvo 6-6 290 (Jr) Gilman School (Baltimore, MD) 5.0 of 5.0 [Pass Blocking] DE Abdoulaye Hannah 6-0 244 Sr Fairmont (Fairmont, NC) 4.5 of 4.5 [Blitz] OG Tomas Duran-Zuniga 6-3 335 So Herkimer County Community College (Herkimer, NY) 3.0 of 4.5 [Pass Blocking] DT Zion Salcedo 6-3 291 (Jr) St. Johnsbury Academy (, VT) 4.0 of 4.0 [1-Gap] SS Stephen Daniel 5-10 193 (So) Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, PA) 3.5 of 5.0 [Man Coverage] QB Isaiah Best 6-4 199 (So) Port St. Lucie (Lucie, FL) 3.5 of 4.0 [Scrambling] First off the bus: DT Zachary Blake 6-7 285 (Jr) Brattleboro Union (Brattleboro, VT) 4.0 of 4.0 [1-Gap] OG Nathan Hamlin 6-7 280 Sr Concord (Concord, NC) 2.0 of 2.0 [Run Blocking] TEMPLE's strengths Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse Temple boasts one of the top offenses in the AAC and it's due in large part to how well they spread the ball around on offense. Their combo of QB Jordan North (31 TD), WR Jeremy Sneed (815 yards,7 TD), WR Omar Donald (809 yards, 8 TD), TE Garrett Taylor (848 yards, 8 TD) and RB Julian Childs (1,025 yards) form the deadliest five-man combo in the conference. TEMPLE's weaknesses Pass defense The Owls' pass defense has had problems this season and their defensive ranks tell the unfortunate tale: they rank 3rd worst in passing yards allowed and 4th worst in total yards allowed. The Owls will need to batten down the hatches in the secondary against Navy's high-flying attack. NAVY's strengths Isaiah Best in the League? The Midshipmen are led by dual-threat QB Isaiah Best, who's racked up more than 3,500 total yards and 32 TD on the season. He's efficient (2nd in QBR, 2nd in %) and makes plays with his arm and his legs (388 rushing yards, 5 TD). He's led them to the league's second-best offense in points and yards and hopes to keep the train rolling against the Owls. NAVY's weaknesses Can be porous against the run Navy fields the AAC's 7th best run-defense, allowing 1,057 yards on the ground this season. Their defensive line can get to the quarterback just fine, but they can struggle at times against a strong rush attack. PREDICTION TEMPLE 34 NAVY 31 MVP: TE Garrett Taylor
    8. WELCOME TO KAFKA'S 2021 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME PREVIEWS ep. 4: #9 Oregon Ducks (10-2) @bingo415 vs. #12 Utah Utes (10-2) @owensr37 Our first battle of ranked divisional winners this postseason - are the playoffs in the cards for either of these Pac-12 juggernauts? Three important matchups: CB Tre'Davious Dikes 6-2 199 (Sr) Butte College (Oroville CA) 4.5 of 4.5 [Man Coverage] WR Sawyer Lawrence 5-10 178 (Jr) Layton Christian (Layton, UT) 4.0 of 4.0 [Speed] RB Trevon Yeldon 6-0 233 (Jr) Powers (Powers, OR) 5.0 of 5.0 [Power] ILB Javon Knox 6-3 245 (Jr) Dallas (Dallas, OR) 4.5 of 4.5 [Will] DE Dariel Cuevas 6-1 253 (Jr) Mohawk (Marcola, OR) 4.0 of 4.0 [Blitz] OT Ian Greene 6-3 319 (Sr) East Linn Christian (Lebanon, OR) 3.5 of 3.5 [Pass Blocking] First off the bus: OT Jeremiah Heck 6-6 261 Sr Harrisburg (Harrisburg, OR) 1.0 of 1.0 [Run Blocking] OG Fletcher Joyner 6-6 261 (Jr) Salt Lake Community College (Salt Lake, UT) 4.5 of 5.0 [Pass Blocking] OREGON's strengths The best running back in the country Trevon Yeldon has been unstoppable this season and he leads the PAC-12 in yards (1,999), yards per carry (7.02), touchdowns (27), longest run (88), and 100-yard games (12). He is, to put it bluntly, the best running back in the nation. OREGON's weaknesses The kicking game Oregon has struggled with both field goals and punting this season. Jaden Ross is a lowly 13/19 (68.4%) on field goals with a long of 46. Their punter, John Schuler, is marginally better, but his 40.2 yards/punt is only tied for 7th best league-wide. UTAH's strengths Aerial attack Donald Culver has a sparkling 37:6 TD:INT ratio and completes nearly two-thirds of his passes. Along with WR Graham Adam (1,076 yards, 11 TD) and WR Sawyer Lawrence (1,023 yards and 13 TD), they form one of the most prolific trios in the league. UTAH's weaknesses Star-less secondary? Overall, Utah has one of the better defenses in the PAC-12, but they lack a true star in the secondary. Their corners have been picked on at times this year and none of their five rotating DBs have more than three interceptions. PREDICTION OREGON 28 UTAH 24 MVP: Trevon Yeldon, RB

WELCOME TO KAFKA'S 2021 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME PREVIEWS ep. 2: Akron Zips (8-4) @darkage vs. #20 Western Michigan Broncos (10-2) @Jieret Jieret and the Western Michigan Broncos are on the cusp of the 11-win tier - can they hold off the red-hot Akron Zips? Three important matchups: DT Marlon Bailey 6-7 322 (Sr) Goshen (Goshen, OH) 5.0 of 5.0 [2-Gap] OG Alex Westbrook 6-2 291 (Jr) Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL) 4.0 of 4.0 [Run Blocking] ILB Devin Frazier 6-1 257 Jr Lakeland Community College (Kirtland, OH) 4.5 of 5.0 [Mike] RB DeSean Madison 5-7 222 (So) Mifflin (Columbus, OH) 4.0 of 5.0 [Power] WR Ahmed Fleming 5-11 208 (Sr) Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH) 3.0 of 3.0 [Speed] CB Jaylin McQueen 5-10 189 Sr Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL) 4.0 of 4.0 [Man Coverage] First off the bus: OG Jeremy Blanchard 6-5 260 Sr Holland Christian (Holland, MI) 3.5 of 3.5 [Run Blocking] DE Victor Roberson 6-5 262 (Fr) Bentley (Burton MI) 3.5 of 3.5 [Blitz] AKRON's strengths DE-FENSE (clap, clap) DE-FENSE Akron boasts one of the MAC's top defenses in rush yards allowed (1st), yards allowed (2nd), pass yards allowed (3rd), and points allowed (4th). They do it with discipline and swarming tackles and force opposing offenses to string together long drives. AKRON's weaknesses Third down defense Despite having one of the top overall defenses in the MAC, Akron has had trouble getting off the field on third down. They're fourth-worst in the league in opponents' third-down conversion percentage and have allowed the second most conversions overall. WESTERN MICHGIAN's strengths Run, run, run the ball. Western Michigan leads the MAC in rushing, rushing TD, yards per carry, and 100-yard games. Combine this devastating ground attack with Akron's stout rush defense, and we could be in for an all-time showdown. WESTERN MICHIGAN's weaknesses Edge blitzing Western Michigan only has one edge player (DE, OLB) with more than one sack on the season. Offensive tackles have routinely stymied the Broncos' edge-rushing attack and quarterbacks often finish the game with a relatively clean jersey. PREDICTION WESTERN MICHIGAN 24 AKRON 23 MVP: DeSean Madison, RB

WELCOME TO KAFKA'S 2021 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME PREVIEWS ep. 1: Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (7-5) @boogyman10 vs. Rice Owls (11-1) @Bubada With a spot in the playoffs a feather away, Rice hopes to solidify their resume with a school-record 12th win. Can Western Kentucky play spoiler? Three important matchups: DT Felix Jennings 6-0 298 Fr Oconto (Oconto WI) 2.5 of 5.0 [1-Gap] OG Raphael Brannon 6-2 334 (So) Roma (Roma, TX) 4.0 of 5.0 [Pass Blocking] FS Janoris Callahan 5-11 223 So Todd County Central (Elkton KY) 3.5 of 4.5 [Man Coverage] QB Eric McLean 6-2 206 (Jr) Blanco (Blanco, TX) 5.0 of 5.0 [Pocket] QB Riley West 6-1 190 (So) Munroe Day (Quincy, FL) 4.0 of 4.0 [Pocket] CB Gerald Sykes 5-10 204 So Van Alstyne (Van Alstyne TX) 3.5 of 4.0 [Man Coverage] First off the bus: DE Ahmed Eubanks 6-7 261 Fr Poteet (Poteet TX) 2.5 of 3.0 [Blitz] ATH Brandon Dawkins 6-7 268 (Fr) Floydada (Floydada TX) 2.0 of 4.0 [Blitz] WESTERN KENTUCKY's strengths Big plays, big plays, big plays Western Kentucky's offense is led by sophomore signal-caller Riley West. He's thrown for 646 yards and 5 touchdowns in his last two games and enters the C-USA title game as sharp as ever. He'll need to rely on big plays and minimize his mistakes if Western Kentucky is to pull off the major upset. WESTERN KENTUCKY's weaknesses Taking the 'defense' out of rush defense The Hilltoppers are not good at stopping the run. In their last three contests, they've given up 6 TD on the ground and right at 5 yards per carry. If Eric McLean gets the Owls out to a big lead, look out for a steady diet of ground and pound to shorten the game. RICE's strengths Eric McLean. The Heisman semifinalist has lit up scoreboards all season and shows no signs of slowly down as he rolls into the conference championship game. He's thrown 46 touchdowns against only nine picks, while completing nearly two-thirds of this passes. Could this be his final audition for NFLHC scouts? RICE's weaknesses One dimensional When you have an elite quarterback like Eric McLean, being one-dimensional isn't necessarily a bad thing - if the Owls run into a red-hot secondary, however, they could be in for some trouble. Their tailback, Nate Wooten, only has 98 carries on the season. PREDICTION RICE 38 WESTERN KENTUCKY 13 MVP: Eric McLean, QB
