  16. ECM: I'm as prepared as I'll ever be. However with that being said, I'll never be perfect. There is always room for improvement and that is at any level of play. I know Coach W has me here for the interview but I just want to put it out there that I am not here to be the best player on the team. My goal is to make everyone around me better, this is a team sport. Myself, Coach W, and the rest of the coaching staff know that it will be a tough ride compared to high school but I'll pour every ounce I have into this program. I look forward to the challenge and I look forward to this program helping me become a better quarterback, a better student, and ultimately a better person.
  17. UAB Head Coach Wonderbread alongside starting freshman quarterback Elijah Currie-Madison are present for the 2019-2020 off season press conference. They are here to discuss goals of the upcoming season, the players, and the current state of UAB Football. The 2020 season schedule is as follows: Week 1 UAB@Missouri BYE Week 3 California@UAB Week 4 Louisville@UAB Week 5 UAB@UTEP Week 6 UAB@North Texas BYE Week 8 UAB@Marshall Week 9 Rice@UAB BYE Week 11Alabama@UAB Week 12 Middle Tennessee@UAB BYE Week 14 UAB@Louisiana Tech Week 15 UTSA@UAB Week 16 Southern Miss@UAB
  18. Coach W: If there is one thing I like to instill in my players it is that the real world out there is not easy. Life doesn't give you things, you have to earn them. The same can be said for football. To overcome challenges is to overcome yourself. Nothing is more important to me than my players. At the end of the day, whether they proceed to become NFL players or enter the real world as successful individuals they have to understand that they are capable of anything. When we play these tough teams we are always setting the bar for ourselves. It isn't about the end of the journey, it is the journey itself. As a program we are constantly evolving and getting better and that can only happen by testing ourselves nonstop against tough opponents whether they are in conference or out of conference. Also a side note, I'd like to start a rivalry against Alabama. I'd like nothing more to be the best team in the state of Alabama.
  19. We sucked this year too, I hate Chuck Pagano.
