Hoosier Daddy?

The last undefeated team in the Big Ten is... Indiana?!?! The Hoosiers went on the road and dominated Wisconsin en route to a 31-17 win.

Wegrets as QBs Wheeled Out For Season

Jets QB Erik Wegert severely ruptured his PCL on TNF, and Titans QB Thomas Wheeler tore his rotator cuff Sunday, significantly hurting the hopes of both teams for 2023.

Horned Frogs SteAMRALled

#6 Oklahoma State took it to TCU, going up 28-7 at halftime and winning 38-14. RB Amral Brown came up huge with 142 rushing yards and 2 TD.

100-yard Curse Blackballed

The Colts hadn't had a 100-yard rushing game since Tony Peaks posted 150 and 2 TD in Week 17 of 2018. 2 games of JB Blacknall later, a 5-year drought is broken.

Catch Or No Catch?

Bengals WR Adrian Jankowski was furious that this catch on MNF didn't count, and it led to a tantrum and fine. Was it a catch? Depends on the perspective.

[2019] Walter Payton Man of the Year Award nominations.

Recommended Posts

Trying something new this year for this award.

Every team can nominate one player from their team to be considered for the award.  You may post media about the player's charitable activities, and why they deserve this award to improve your player's chances. Remember, this has nothing to do with on field performance.

I will narrow down the results to a top 5 for the final awards poll.

Post who you want to nominate in this thread. If you've written media about the player, link it in the post where you nominate them (edit it in)

The New Orleans Saints would like to nominate Aaron Stiles for the Walter Payton Man of the Year.  The very charitable Stiles, only just a rookie, is well known for giving up many things for others; money, services, yards, touchdowns.  The cornerback from Tennessee has pressed many issues in his community, and you know you can count on Aaron Stiles to help you out.  He may be burned over and over and over again, you can still count on him to be charitable to everyone else around him, most notably donating over $100,000 to the Animal Rescue New Orleans Inc.

The 49ers would like to nominate QB Orly Vaccaro for 2019’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award. The 49ers organization recognizes Mr. Vaccaro’s work with his youth foundation, “Yeah Really!”, which exposes underprivileged teens in the San Francisco Bay area to various career fields and provides assistance with college preparation. Last year, the foundation provided over $250,000 in scholarships and aid to roughly 200 students. Mr. Vaccaro hopes to expand those numbers this year, and, in the future, open a second branch of the foundation in San Diego where he attended college.
