FLAG BEARERS

As the CFBHC season rolls near, it's the Michigan Wolverines led by Head Coach jmjacobs who grab the top spot in the preseason AP poll. Will they remain at the top? Or fall to an unlikely upset?

FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH

Patriots QB Darren Werner gave us a little blast from the past when he threw for 475 yards and 5 touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in preseason week 2.

IT'S CROOTIN SEASON

Along with the CFBHC season comes CROOTIN! Time to think, and think and think, and maybe overthink your strategies and then get beat out by Penn State on all of your favorite croots.

ALL HAIL MCQUEEN?

Detroit Lions rookie CB Kevin McQueen has made some noise early in the preseason, recording an interception in both games so far. Have the Lions finally found Keyshawn Thompson a running mate?

HOCKEY COME BACK, WE CAN MAKE IT UP TO YOU

NHLHC fans take to the stands during the NFLHC preseason to beg for an end on the NHLHC Lockout and a return to the ice.

Don't let the Packers offense putting up 38 points distract you from the fact that the Bears were shut out.

Uh excuse me, Julio "Who?lio" Barnes put up 7 of those himself.

    Good game, Hawks.

    Yeessss!! Go Broncos!

For my first game in the NFLHC, I thought it could've been worse. I definitely need to make some adjustments, but I'm hoping to improve over time. Good game.

For allowing 5 sacks, and only getting 2 yards per carry, I'm surprised our OL managed a 7.5 OL rating. I was expecting something more in the Stanford range.

Also our defense did us no favors, but the ground game didn't seem to work too well against us (2.6 avg). Granted that was all probably garbage time, but still... Teams should only run against us to test if it was too small of a sample size

I'm so conflicted. It looks like the defense will indeed take another step forward this year.

Jeff Fisher is already working his magic with the secondary and shut down a pretty potent Washington passing offense. It's very encouraging to see a game like this from the defensive unit ahead of a trip to Charlotte to square off against Skaggs and company.

This is probably one of the worst offensive performances of the AT era. I'll take the blame as I got a bit cute with the gameplan. It's back to basics next week.

All in all, I'll take a division win any way I can get it; even if it was an ugly defensive/special teams battle. I have a feeling the NFC East is going to be very messy this season.

    GG Washington.
