The Mississippi State Bulldogs pulled off a close 27-23 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes behind a gutsy performance from QB Ryder Shipman who stayed in the game and threw for 323 yards and 3 TDs despite having fractured his thumb late in the third quarter.

The Philadelphia Eagles topped the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football 31-28. The three headed monster in Philly's backfield: Allan Taylor, Troy White, and rookie Marshawn Miller put the whole league on notice with their performance.

The hype around North Dakota State QB Will Chacko continues to grow following a 389 yard 3 td performance which nearly resulted in an upset win for the Bison over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the New York Football Giants 27-0 despite only throwing the ball 6 times largely because of the legs of Terrence Rodgers and Justin Buchanan.

Hockey is back! And the Chicago Blackhawk's rookie sensation Anatoli Kolchenyuk picked up right where he left off notching yet another goal early in his rookie campaign.

[2020] Week 5 MAC Players of the Week

    Recommended Posts

Offensive MAC Player of the Week: QB Zack Cera, Miami(OH) :miao:  30 of 45 for 335 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT (W vs. E. Michigan)

It's kind of a surprise that this is the FLAMETHROWER ZACK CERA'S first time as the MAC's Offensive Player of the Week, considering his ability and Miami's scheme.  But Cera certainly lit up the scoreboard and the Eagles for his third 300-yard game in four tries.  With 1232 passing yards and a sparkling 13/3 TD/INT ratio through four games, we don't see him slowing down any time soon.  We do see him likely showing up here again this season.

Defensive MAC Player of the Week: SS Quinn Benson, Kent State :kent:  1 INT, 2 Tackles, 1 TD (W vs Bowling Green)

A tight race between Benson and Miami CB Shamar McClendon with similar stats but Benson takes it, likely due to the importance of the pick-six to his game's outcome.  The safety's touchdown sparked his team to an upset win over the visiting Falcons.  The senior so far has been the linchpin of the Golden Flash defense, and Benson is doing everything he can to get Kent State to a bowl game.

Special Teams MAC Player of the Week: K Harry DeMarco, :wmu: 3/3 FG (made 47, 27, 34), 5/5 XP (W vs SDSU)

Not to be outdone by Benson, WMU's kicker also makes his second appearance as a Player of the Week this season.  The redshirt freshman remains perfect on the year, booting a career-long 47-yarder as one of three field goals DeMarco added to his tally.  He also got a lot of practice from shorter distances with five extra points, the Broncos will need him to keep his excellent form against a tough foe in the Buffalo Bulls next week.

    Congratulations to all the winners!
