The Mississippi State Bulldogs pulled off a close 27-23 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes behind a gutsy performance from QB Ryder Shipman who stayed in the game and threw for 323 yards and 3 TDs despite having fractured his thumb late in the third quarter.

The Philadelphia Eagles topped the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football 31-28. The three headed monster in Philly's backfield: Allan Taylor, Troy White, and rookie Marshawn Miller put the whole league on notice with their performance.

The hype around North Dakota State QB Will Chacko continues to grow following a 389 yard 3 td performance which nearly resulted in an upset win for the Bison over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the New York Football Giants 27-0 despite only throwing the ball 6 times largely because of the legs of Terrence Rodgers and Justin Buchanan.

Hockey is back! And the Chicago Blackhawk's rookie sensation Anatoli Kolchenyuk picked up right where he left off notching yet another goal early in his rookie campaign.

[2020] MAC Week 16 Players of the Week

    Recommended Posts

Offensive :mac: Player of the Week: QB T.J. Zamora, Akron :zips:. 24 of 34 for 300 yards, 3/0 TD/INT. 4 rushes for 14 yards. (W vs. Ohio) )

The Bobcats had already won the MAC East prior to this game, but the Zips definitely made sure Ohio knew it was by the skin of their teeth via a 41-14 drubbing that NO one outside of Akron saw coming.  Zamora ended the regular season on a high note, beautifully orchestrating the Akron offense wherever it needed to go against a tough Ohio defense.  Zamora earned his second POTW honors for the season, a nice way to end his collegiate regular season career.

Defensive :mac: Player of the Week: MLB Kareem Boykin, W. Michigan :wmu:. 7 tackles, 1 INT. (W at E. Michigan)

A somewhat surprising early declarer for the upcoming draft, Western's stud linebacker put up a typically efficient and effective stat line for him.  However unlike his other stat lines this was enough to get him his first ever Player of the Week award, so congrats to him for that!  A nice little something extra to add to his resume as he prepares for the MAC Championship Game and a bowl, then the pros.

Special Teams :mac: Player of the Week: WR Cayden Sampson, Kent State :kent:  129 Punt return yards, Punt return TD. (W vs. C. Michigan)

Not to be outdone by E. Michigan's Ibrahima Griggs, Kent State's Cayden Sampson also took matters into his own hands.  With his team going down to the CMU Chippewas 13-0 at halftime, Sampson's punt return to the house energized the Golden Flashes and sparked the comeback that took them to their very first bowl berth.  Definitely a fitting honor for Sampson (his first), and an uplifting way to bring a close to this season's weekly awards.

Congratulations to all the winners!  But more importantly thanks to everyone for reading along, we'll see you next season!
