THE GAME (OF THE YEAR)

The Game lives up to the hype this year as (10-1) Michigan traveled to Columbus to take on (10-1) Ohio State for the right to take on Purdue in the B1G Championship. After a grueling battle that took 2 overtimes to decide, it was the Wolverines who stood victorious 36-33 in what was possibly the best game of the season.

WILD WEST

The Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos both won their games Sunday, setting up a week 17 showdown to decide the AFC West. The Raiders toppled the Chiefs 24-14 and the Broncos survived the Jaguars 27-23.

CHAMPIONSHIP SZN

As the final week of the regular season wraps up, teams turn their attention to the conference championships and bowl season. There are some solid match ups to look forward to with big implications.

NICE

The Detroit Lions and the Indianapolis Colts won this week, while the New England Patriots and the Minnesota Vikings took losses, all becoming 6-9 on the season.

[2021] MAC Statsheet & Stat Leaders

    Recommended Posts

One fun (or not-so-fun) stat fact about each MAC team so far!

:zips: The 190-yard difference in QB Griffin Donahue's passing yards from his first game (168 yards) to his second (358) is the largest individual performance yard differential in the MAC.

:ball: "The Drifter" Elias Carter has attempted exactly 20 passes in each game so far and completed exactly 10 in each.

:bgsu: Bowling Green have surrendered the most rushing yards per game (155.5).

:buffalo: K/P Mohamed Saylor is the only MAC kicker to have a missed extra point.

:cmu: Central is on pace to record 12 sacks.  Not an impressive number, but it would be 50% more than what they recorded last year (8).

:emu: In a similar vein, QB Giovanni Shaw's 3 TD passes is already a third of what he threw last year (9).

:kent: The Golden Flashes are last in rushing with 57.67 yards per game.

:miao: The FLAMETHROWER ZACK CERA leads the conference in TD passes with 13.  Yeah, we all figured.  But Miami's 3 rushing TDs is actually the 3rd-MOST in the MAC.  Weird, right?

:niu:  SS Miles Grady leads the conference with three passes defensed, in only two games too.

:ohio: This is QB Austin Lowe's first year, but you wouldn't know it looking at his numbers.  His 304.50 passing YPG ranks second in the MAC (behind Cera, obv).  Is the MAC ready for a Bobcat team with a potent passing attack too?

:toledo: Toledo has zero kickoff return yards and the most punt return yards (103).

:wmu: Your conference leader in QB Rating so far?  Chase Sims, with 202.46.

Ha!  Fixed, had formulas to automatically update some stats and when the numbers in the game report show up as plain text instead of numbers (don't ask) they didn't get counted.

Also, had the wrong formula in the LONG column (SUMIF instead of MAX).  Thanks for pointing these out!
