With the monopoly on talent that Houston and now SMU has in the AAC West and the success of UCF and Temple in the East, I never thought I'd have the fortune of playing in an AAC championship game let alone winning one. In the preseason AAC poll Navy was voted 7th best in the conference. I hope with this win the team will finally get the respect it deserves. With his performance today, Isaiah Best has now thrown for over 3,300 yards and 29 touchdowns to 4 interceptions on the season. He has also rushed for over 420 yards and 6 Tds on the ground. With only the names of Andre Webb and Jordan North being thrown around as the top talents, only Best can claim the king of the conference this season.

And the "Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse" were nowhere to be seen today, as the so-called "porous" Navy rush defense has now shut down the vaunted offenses of both Temple and SMU. Finally, in year 5 of a rebuild of a team who previously never did better than 4-8, we have accomplished 4 bowl berths, 2 10-win seasons, 1 Division Championship, and 1 Conference Championship.
