    NFC (B)East Report


    The Beast of the East: Philadelphia Eagles :eagles:


    Positive Takeaways:

    1. The Eagles 3rd down defense was spectacular, allowing only a 21% conversion rate by the Bears
    2. Marshawn Miller received the bulk of the workload out of the backfield and was up to the challenge, rushing for 80 yards and 1 TD on 20 carries
    3. The DE duo of Ryan Frey and Ulysses Smith each notched a pair of sacks stifled Mohammed Foster


    Negative Takeaways:

    1. TE Sebastian Babb sustained a concussion which means TE Erik Bray 6-7 250 2 North Dakota [Receiving] [0] 76 is the next man up for the Eagles
    2. As good as the pass rush was, the defensive front struggled against the run allowing just shy of 5 ypc to the Bears


    Final Score: Eagles 24 - Bears 6


    Next Week: vs. @ IND (0-2)


    The Least of the East: New York Giants :giants:


    Positive Takeaways:

    1. Say hello to Khairi Bryant!  After a quiet week 1, the rookie burst onto the scene with 1 sack and 3 TFL against the Cardinals.
    2. RB O.J. Carano rushed for 102 yards and 2 TDs on 16 attempts and was graded the top player for the Giants with a rating of 8.32
    3. The pass defense was on point, holding Paul Davenport below 50% and intercepting him 2 times


    Negative Takeaways

    1. Lawyer Johnson struggled yet again, completing just over 50% of his passes
    2. WR Curtis Jeffreys had a game to forget, reeling in 3 catches for 32 yards and recording 2 drops.  


    Final Score: Giants 33 - Cardinals 10


    Next Week: @ Jaguars (2-0)


    The Rest of the East:

    Washington Redskins :redskins:


    Positive Takeaways:

    1. The defensive front harassed Thomas Wheeler all day recording a sack from each DE and from the DT position.
    2. Thomas McMahan was a perfect 4/4 on field goals, including a pair from 40+ yards.


    Negative Takeaways

    1. One of the positive takeaways was about the kickers performance
    2. Tanner Bowman was a pedestrian 19/39 for 242 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INT, grading out as the Redskins worst player in week 2.
    3. The run game didn't help matters, only recording 26 yards on 10 carries


    Final Score: Titans 38 - Redskins 20


    Next Week: vs. Seahawks (0-2)


    Dallas Cowboys :cowboys:


    Positive Takeaways:

    1. Graham Burnett played really well completing 66% of his passes for 280 yards and 2 TDs without turning the ball over.
    2. The running game performed much better then in week 1, as Adrian Robinson pounded away for 79 yards and 2 TDs on 17 carries.
    3. The Cowboy defense only allowed 1 3rd down conversion on the entire day from the 49er offense.


    Negative Takeaways

    1. Will LB Tom Lavergne was lost for the season due to an ACL tear, leaving 2nd year player Antoine Mayfield to step in as a starter.
    2. The Cowboys committed 7 penalties on the day, but they only accounted for 51 yards


    Final Score: Cowboys 28 - Bears 0


    Next Week: vs Lions (1-1)

    Great write-up! Seriously, nicely done so quickly after games post. 


    I don’t disagree with any assessment, and loved the bit about the kicking stat being a pos and a neg. 


    I think the NFC South deterioration is to the benefit of the East. Only the Giants are squarely NOT playoff contenders (though the Skins need to start showing some more...), and there are some really talented players in the division.

    Very happy with the performance. Yes it was against the Cards but the defense and the running game were awesome. There is a QB change coming, so that could be a big shakeup offensively. Hopefully we aren't the least for long

    @bingo415 thanks! I’m still experimenting with some different formatting things, so feel free to give suggestions anytime! And yeah, sadly I could only find 2 positives for us and 1 was our kicker lol. 


    @TazerMan all you can do is beat who you play. Bryant looked awesome!  Hopefully you stay the least though bc I think we are the only other option
