    Iowa State Welcomes Iowa for Cy Hawk Rivalry Game

    Ames, Iowa


    Football season is still fresh in the air. And with every football season comes a rivalry game to break the families of Iowa apart, Its time to chose who you wont talk to for the entire day and trash talk their alma mater on your way to work. The communities of Iowa  will gather together on Friday at 8pm for the Cy-Hawk rivalry game, sponsored by Iowa corn the focus of the game is to help fight hunger by spreading the importance of corn growing in Iowa and raising money for the fight against hunger. With all the festivites last year being in Iowa City this year tailgaters will make the trip to Ames via Highway US-30 for 129 miles. This is only the second time Iowa and Iowa State have faced in the history of the sim. Iowa won last year by a last second field goal taking the first ever win in rivalry history. Students for these two schools are required to attend classes for the week and will not be excused from their everyday tasks. These two schools represent the life and community of Iowa, with the festivities beginning on monday and going until kickoff.


    Monday: Iowa Corn Community Potluck 4-8pm
    Tuesday: Agriculture Career Fair with Guest Speaker at Memorial Union 9am-5pm

    Wednesday:  Annual Corn Queen Judging 7pm 
    Thursday: Bell Tower Concert with the Choir 7pm
    Friday: Trophy Viewing and Pep Rally on the Quad 5pm-10pm
    Saturday: Parade 9:30am-11:30am Tailgate and Corn Bobbing at Jack Trice Stadium 12pm-8pm

    I wish. I didnt do much research. There is a king and queen crowned and various party games only on the day of the game however. This is the cfbhc version
