Illini Fight Off Huskies

The #25 Illinois defense stifled Washington's star QB Jake Davis as Illinois won a more defensive game 19-17, although QB Jordan Harrison did help with over 300 yards in the air.

SKAGGS SKAGGS SKAGGS SKAGGS SKAGGS SKAGGS

Panthers QB Christian Skaggs throws for 506 yards on 49 attempts, adding 6 TD to 0 INT, as the Panthers rout the Bucs at home 42-12.

Hokie-Pokey Defense Turns Game Around

In a game that was 0-0 at the half, Virginia Tech managed to pull the upset of #12 Ohio State through a stifling defense that held OSU to just 3 field goals.

Sustainable Bills Sneak Past Saints

The Bills scored in every quarter, putting up 35; they nearly lost anyway as the Saints scored 27 in the 4th quarter in a close 35-33 game.

The first ever Saints game.  I thought @neovenator250 was going to stroke out on the live stream.

Walt Peck caught a TD against us at the buzzer.  Not a happy memory, but I don't think I'll ever forget it!

EDIT: not sure if we were talking college or pro, but if it's college, then definitely this:

2015 SEC Championship.  Georgia lost the 2014 SECCG by a field goal to eventual national champs Alabama but got another shot against Texas A&M the following year.  Overtime thriller that sent us to the playoffs before losing to Penn State in the national semifinals.

the Nick Hall comeback tour that was the 2020 NFLHC playoffs.

Wild card: http://cfbhc.com/index.php?/topic/18988-2020-wild-card-sunday-4-pm/

Down 13-27 at the end of the 3rd in Denver, Nick Hall threw a TD with 4 minutes left in the 4th to bring it to 20-27.  He then completed another touchdown drive with 25 seconds left to tie the game and send it to OT.  We then drove down to win it in OT on a 27 yard FG.

Divisional: http://cfbhc.com/index.php?/topic/19072-2020-divisional-sunday-1-pm/

Jags start out strong with 13 unanswered points in the first half.  Raiders finally get on the board with a TD with 1:25 left in the half.  We end up tying the game up in the 3rd but then give up a TD late in the 3rd.  Nothing much happens until the end of the 4th when Nick Hall once again slams on the clutch with a 26 yard TD to Brian Gary with 27 seconds remaining.  Finished it off with a TD in OT.

Championship: http://cfbhc.com/index.php?/topic/19138-2020-afc-championship-game/

No clutch needed.  Wiped the floor with the Jets.

Superbowl: http://cfbhc.com/index.php?/topic/19193-super-bowl-vii/

Down 31-6 at the half, the Raiders held the pack to only 3 points in the second half, scoring 21 themselves.  That still wasn't enough to win, but made for an interesting almost comeback.

2015 National Title game, Oklahoma beats Penn State 43-40. Still one of my favorite games in site history.

Basically everything that happened in this slate, but with particular attention to a certain undefeated, top-ranked, eventual national champion coming into Lawrence looking for revenge--and getting denied.

Obviously this is somewhat self-serving, but this game was huge for a couple reasons.  We played a brutal schedule that year - playing at Washington State, who made the playoff, at Missouri, etc.  Baylor made the playoffs that year and were on a roll - so it's always an instant classic to me to go on the road at beat a top 10 team.

Also - this seemed like the game where it all came together for WVU.  We went on to win 15 of our next 18 games, won the conference in 2020, and made a playoff run.  I had made a scheme change a couple games prior, and this seemed to be the game where the offense started really click at scary levels.

2017 Week 4, Air Force - Navy on TNF. May seem like a lackluster matchup, but it happened to be the first game I coached. Triple OT thriller where we won 35-33.
