Hoosier Daddy?

The last undefeated team in the Big Ten is... Indiana?!?! The Hoosiers went on the road and dominated Wisconsin en route to a 31-17 win.

Wegrets as QBs Wheeled Out For Season

Jets QB Erik Wegert severely ruptured his PCL on TNF, and Titans QB Thomas Wheeler tore his rotator cuff Sunday, significantly hurting the hopes of both teams for 2023.

Horned Frogs SteAMRALled

#6 Oklahoma State took it to TCU, going up 28-7 at halftime and winning 38-14. RB Amral Brown came up huge with 142 rushing yards and 2 TD.

100-yard Curse Blackballed

The Colts hadn't had a 100-yard rushing game since Tony Peaks posted 150 and 2 TD in Week 17 of 2018. 2 games of JB Blacknall later, a 5-year drought is broken.

Catch Or No Catch?

Bengals WR Adrian Jankowski was furious that this catch on MNF didn't count, and it led to a tantrum and fine. Was it a catch? Depends on the perspective.

Nebraska Cornhuskers Inaugural Ring of Honor

Recommended Posts

:nebraska:

Lincoln, NE- Following a surprising season that saw Nebraska win 11 games and the Big 10 championship, AD Tom Osborne announced that several Nebraska football legends would be inducted into the newly created Ring of Honor. While Nebraska fans have waited eagerly for months to find out who would be included, the Cornhuskers have been silent about their deliberations. However, at B1G media day, Coach Caesari confirmed the first group of honorees, to be celebrated during halftime of their Week 0 game vs. Auburn. "The Nebraska family is one that stretches coast to coast, and we want to honor some of the greatest to have walked among us by enshrining them, forever, in Memorial Stadium. Our deepest thanks and sincerest congratulations to these Huskers legends." All honorees are Nebraska icons who spent time in Lincoln during the 2010s. It is believed that more recent graduates such as Franklin Riggins and Sean Connell will be in the running for the 2024 ceremony. The honorees are as follows:

QB Sean Hamilton

Hamilton was a 4 year starter for Nebraska and was one of the most prolific QBs in college football during his time in Lincoln. As a Sophomore in 2017, he helmed the potent Nebraska offense and the Huskers to their best ever finish, which included a conference championship, two bowl wins, and an appearance in the CFBHC National Championship game. He holds most of the major passing marks in Nebraska history, and is widely considered the best-ever QB to don the Scarlet and Cream.

RB Marcus Williams

In 2017, Sean Hamilton helped the Huskers to a #2 ranking in the final Coaches' Poll, but Marcus Williams was the workhorse who drove the offense. He registered 1503 rushing yards and 18 total touchdowns in the campaign. All told, he finished his career with 4475 yards and 47 rushing touchdowns in 3 seasons as the starter, cementing himself as one of the best RBs of his era.

RB Keena Kane

While he only played 2 years for the Cornhuskers, due to being a redshirt Junior when CFBHC started in 2013, he burst onto the college football landscape with 1720 yards and 21 touchdowns. He followed that performance up with 1074 yards in 2014 (on only 177 carries!) and another 17 touchdowns, giving him 38 TDs for his career. Despite running a more balanced offense his Senior year, Kane was the original Nebraska bellcow, and in his two seasons Nebraska finished ranked #14 and #9, respectively.

CB Samuel Shaw

The only defender to make the initial Ring of Honor, Samuel Shaw was a mainstay in Nebraska's defensive backfield during their 2017 run and subsequent seasons. He is the all time leader in interceptions at Nebraska and one of the best lockdown corners in the Big 10.

Coach @rabidsnowman

Now at Texas State, former Huskers coach Rabid will be inducted into the Ring of Honor along with the four players, all of whom he recruited or coached during their time in Lincoln. Under Coach Rabid, Nebraska had 3 of their four best seasons, including the 2017 run that saw them win their first conference title before falling in the National Championship game. His Husker teams finished three seasons ranked in the top 15, won 3 bowl games, and held a 39-27 record in 5 seasons.

It's an honor to be nominated, but it's the kids who played the game.  I just sat on the sideline.  Give them the glory, please.  They earned it.

Love seeing these!  Out of likes right now, I'll rectify that tomorrow.

Also, MARCUS
