CHIEFS QB RYAN HARRIS, DOLPHINS CB JUSTIN DAVIS &

BILLS K DARYL HOLMES NAMED AFC PLAYERS OF WEEK 1

 

Quarterback RYAN HARRIS of the Kansas City Chiefs, cornerback JUSTIN DAVIS of the Miami Dolphins and kicker DARYL HOLMES of the Buffalo Bills are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the first week of the 2023 season, the NFLHC announced today. 

 

OFFENSE: QB RYAN HARRIS, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

  • Harris completed 30 of 50 passes (60.0 percent) for 385 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions for a 117.5 passer rating in the Chiefs' 41-28 win over Chicago.

DEFENSE: CB JUSTIN DAVIS, MIAMI DOLPHINS

  • Davis had 2 interceptions, 3 passes defended, and a tackle in the Dolphins' 17-13 win over Atlanta.

SPECIAL TEAMS: K DARYL HOLMES, BUFFALO BILLS

  • Holmes made all 3 of his field goal attempts from 40, 30, and 32 yards plus both extra point attempts in the Bills' 23-20 win over Indianapolis.

Quarterback TODD LESTER of the San Francisco 49ers, defensive end RYAN FREY of the Philadelphia Eagles and strong safety-special teamer STEVEN GORDON of the Washington Redskins are the NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the first week of the 2023 season, the NFLHC announced today. 

 

OFFENSE: QB TODD LESTER, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

  • Lester completed 19 of 25 passes (76.0 percent) for 305 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions for a 155.83 passer rating in the 49ers' 35-17 win at Tampa Bay.

DEFENSE: DE RYAN FREY, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

  • Frey had 5 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 tackles for loss in the Eagles' 26-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

SPECIAL TEAMS: SS STEVEN GORDON, WASHINGTON REDSKINS

  • Gordon blocked a Jack Kershner 48 yard FG attempt with 10:47 to play in the 4th quarter in the Redskins' 20-17 win over New Orleans.
