Hoosier Daddy?

The last undefeated team in the Big Ten is... Indiana?!?! The Hoosiers went on the road and dominated Wisconsin en route to a 31-17 win.

Wegrets as QBs Wheeled Out For Season

Jets QB Erik Wegert severely ruptured his PCL on TNF, and Titans QB Thomas Wheeler tore his rotator cuff Sunday, significantly hurting the hopes of both teams for 2023.

Horned Frogs SteAMRALled

#6 Oklahoma State took it to TCU, going up 28-7 at halftime and winning 38-14. RB Amral Brown came up huge with 142 rushing yards and 2 TD.

100-yard Curse Blackballed

The Colts hadn't had a 100-yard rushing game since Tony Peaks posted 150 and 2 TD in Week 17 of 2018. 2 games of JB Blacknall later, a 5-year drought is broken.

Catch Or No Catch?

Bengals WR Adrian Jankowski was furious that this catch on MNF didn't count, and it led to a tantrum and fine. Was it a catch? Depends on the perspective.

Iowa Hawkeyes Week 3 Press Conference

Recommended Posts

In the annual Cy-Hawk game the Hawkeyes were able to hold off the Cyclones for a 27-24 victory.  Coach wrigleyfan spoke to the media today.

Offensive takeaways from Week 2 - Well we did just enough to get the job done this week against a tough Cyclone defense.  The offensive line stepped up again and gave RB Kedaveon Vaughn a chance to make some plays and get into the endzone twice.  That really helped take the pressure of QB Ryan Corbin who played pretty well in his first rivalry game. And how about our kicker Mayer Abbrederis making both his field goals.  That was an area we struggled with last year but so far Mayer is doing a great job converting on all of his attempts.

Defensive takeaways from Week 2 - Our focus was on stopping their running attack and we did a good job keeping McCullough in check.  DE Joe Hanley continues to get into the backfield and disrupt plays and it was nice to see another freshman CB Marcedes Payton stepping up this week and contributing with an interception.  But we need to do a better job against the pass if we are going to continue to have success this season.

Focus heading into the Bye in Week 3 - This is definitely a big win for us and gives as many wins as we had all last season so we are all excited for our players and our fans.  But it only gets tougher as we move into conference play in week 4. We will continue to get our young players reps and work on improving our execution on both sides of the ball and hope we can carry this momentum on the road against a very good Penn State team.

We are certainly going to try.  Last year's performance has hurt some of our recruiting efforts for this season so we need to make it up with wins this year.

I tried reverse psychology for this game. Knowing you'd go all out run defense I told Sheppard to throw more and it didn't work out in the end

He played well so that was a good call on your part.  That game could have gone either way.
