[2023] SEC Network: Week 3 POTW

Week 3 Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week

QB Adrian Goldson, Tennessee
23/40 for 351 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT vs. #13 Florida (W, 26-14)

In the first SEC East clash of the season, Adrian Goldson played like a Heisman finalist.  He threw for more than 350 yards and added three scores in Tennessee's enormous win over rival Florida.  If you had any doubts about Goldson and Tennessee, leave them at the door.

Defensive Player of the Week

OLB Leonard England, LSU
5 tackles, INT, sack vs. #12 Auburn (W, 16-13)

England burst onto the scene with a stifling performance this week.  He had five tackles, a sack, an interception, and was a problem for the Auburn offense all night.  In the defensive battle between these rivals, England was perhaps the best player on the field.

Special Teams Player of the Week

K Liam Holder, LSU

3/3 FG (27, 29, 34), 1/1 PAT vs. #12 Auburn (W, 16-13)

Holder accounted for 62.5% of LSU's points in perhaps the biggest game of the week.  The Bayou Bengals knocked off fellow SEC West foe Auburn 16-13 behind the game-winning boot of Liam Holder, who was money all night for LSU.

Congratulations to all the winners!
