Hoosier Daddy?

The last undefeated team in the Big Ten is... Indiana?!?! The Hoosiers went on the road and dominated Wisconsin en route to a 31-17 win.

Wegrets as QBs Wheeled Out For Season

Jets QB Erik Wegert severely ruptured his PCL on TNF, and Titans QB Thomas Wheeler tore his rotator cuff Sunday, significantly hurting the hopes of both teams for 2023.

Horned Frogs SteAMRALled

#6 Oklahoma State took it to TCU, going up 28-7 at halftime and winning 38-14. RB Amral Brown came up huge with 142 rushing yards and 2 TD.

100-yard Curse Blackballed

The Colts hadn't had a 100-yard rushing game since Tony Peaks posted 150 and 2 TD in Week 17 of 2018. 2 games of JB Blacknall later, a 5-year drought is broken.

Catch Or No Catch?

Bengals WR Adrian Jankowski was furious that this catch on MNF didn't count, and it led to a tantrum and fine. Was it a catch? Depends on the perspective.

So Gabe Kerns, Georgia Southern, Hybrid

Player Line: 53/100 (53%), 537 Yards, 4 TDs, 3 INTs, 2 Carries, 6 Yards, 1 TD

Wins: New Mexico State

Losses: at Minnesota, Wyoming

Rome's Hot Take: Gabe actually wasn't that bad against Minnesota, only turning it over once and grabbing two TDs. His lack of success otherwise is concerning and he's already reached his potential.

I think he's average. He's not going to have a crazy game and upset someone, but, he's not going to lose a game either.

And, that's what I should ask for, when starting a 3.5/3.5

I’m not used to dealing with pro potential quarterback but seeing both Maguire and Sheldon perform well in our offensive set gives me hope for both of them. We might finally have a bit of an offense to get us by.

(Fr) Grayson Gillette, Texas Tech, Pocket

Player Line: 57/87 (65.5%), 682 Yards, 5 TDs, 1 INT

Wins: Nebraska, Marshall, Kansas State

Losses: None

Rome's Hot Take: An impressive start for a new offense in Lubbock. Gillette has been in control so far this season, but the meat of his schedule is ahead of him. How Grayson reacts to making mistakes as the season goes on will tell us a lot about his future.

The future is the most important part of seeing Grayson's game.  He's been great in this transition year on offense though.
