Sure, we could stand to now be without both our starting guards.

GG Eagles, we're really hoping to get our offense somewhere near your level of effectiveness some day.

Yea it's insane to see virtually 3 guys with 50 yards rushing in a game.

Philly exits this week as the highest-scoring team in the NFL at 28.9 points per game. They've played one of the hardest schedules in the league--and a schedule whose defenses rank 2nd and offenses rank 20th (which ends up being 5th in point differential and 4th in win percentage)--with their backup quarterback. The amount of damage they could do with Allan Taylor, who is probable next week? Beware!

And this was a strong defensive effort--despite playing a middling set of offenses, Philly's been middling in points allowed per game. But it might not say much because Seattle's offense hasn't put it together this season--only the Broncos and Browns are scoring fewer points per game. I was interested in this game because Philadelphia is who every team with a running quarterback should be looking at (not necessarily to copy them, but because they're a template of success), and I wanted to see Tucker Dowden in contrast. Passing-wise, Bridgewater only really made a couple of throws that Dowden didn't, but Philadelphia was able to get the run game and specifically the QB run game involved whereas Frey and Smith walled Dowden in. That's not normally an issue for Dowden so I'm not worried about that for him--what I am worried about is that he's got 8 touchdowns to 8 turnovers this season. He's a second-year QB who has plenty of time to figure things out, but he does need to get that process underway soon.
