God dammmmmmmnnnnn Marcus was not about to go 0-16

Editing this in but if Marcus had caught those 2 passes instead of being interfered, he'd have tied a team record for catches (that he set in 2018), and if they'd gone for 16 yards, he'd have tied his/the team yards record (also 2018 but different game).

Honestly I see no choice but to suspend him (checks schedule) for the remainder of the regular season at the very least. Truly, no room in the game for that.

Easy win

Most of these matchups had playoff implications of some sort. A rundown:

  • :dolphins: Took advantage of Buffalo's trouncing at the hands of Baltimore to tie them atop the AFC East. Both are now one game up on the second wild card spot.
  • :titans: Nearly had a season-salvaging win but shut down in the second half. One game back of WC2 now, and three straight losses against the type of team they're up against for those spots do not inspire confidence.
  • :raiders: KC losing Harris meant an opening for Vegas, but a loss here puts them two games back instead. They still control their divisional destiny as they have two games against KC but may have to win out because KC's other opponents are LAC (x2), MIN, and DEN.
  • :packers: Keep pace at the top of a highly competitive NFC wild card race, a game up on everybody else. Stay within 1 game of Detroit in the division race with two games against them still on the docket.
  • :cowboys: Fall back a game of the second wild card spot, currently a tie between PHI and CHI. Next three games should be wins, though.
  • :fibur: Still the top dogs cats in the league, a 1-game lead in the division, and a 2-game lead over WC2. Next two games should be wins before @GB/ATL/GB@/CHI.
  • :falcons: Re-establish a 3-game division lead. Magic number against New Orleans is now 3 games with 6 to play; they could drop one of NYJ, @MIN, CAR, or TB and still be fine. Second-safest team in the league after Baltimore. And Culver looked better.
  • :saints: Had a chance to come back from the dead to make some noise, but this is probably curtains for the season. Devereaux's not hurt long-term but they're not overcoming three games plus a head-to-head tiebreaker.
  • :seahawks: Were already pretty much out, but a good sign for Dowden to perform this well and earn a top player grade--he's the second-biggest winner after the Seahawks' draft position.
  • :cardinals: Staved off mathematical elimination for a week, but got their first win of the season. Nobody else has exactly 1 so they don't move off the projected #2 draft spot. AJ Jefferson is a False Prophet.

that 3 game lead is incredibly important.  Culver improving is key.  He is still young, but can be effective if he keeps on playing like this.

Yeah, he’s hit a wall. Davis and Wade are good, but Williams misses Wheeler something fierce.

Man, would have been a big win for us. Was hoping to get 1 win out of our tough stretch of games: at LV, at JAX, vs MIA. Completely fell apart in the second half. I'm not worried about Kevin Williams, I'm sure he'll get it together. I thought Jeremy Summers was doing a good job at filling in for Aaron Walls but 3 holding penalties and lowest grade, jeez.

And RIP Leon Woodruff. This is the final straw. He's been our kicker since the start of the Titans and was very reliable until last season. He's missed four kicks SHORT from within 42 yards this season, how?

Wonder if the Saints will sit Devereaux next week since he's questionable. He's never missed a game in his career. He has the second longest streak of consecutive starts at 123 starts. Only Skaggs has more at 152 consecutive starts.

Short means close miss in this regard unless it's just S in which case it's truly short

Short means close miss in this regard unless it's just S in which case it's truly short

Oooh. That makes a lot more sense. Good to know he isn't embarrassingly weak. Just embarrassingly inaccurate this season.

Good seeing Tucker and the rest of this offense start to figure things out.  Considering that we were on a scheme change and that Marcus Williams got hurt early, I don't mind the overall game result (#TrustTheProcess).  And of course a wild Manny sighting is always appreciated.

Marcus Banks tore us up pretty good, hats off to him.  But maybe we're just helping to show that AJJ can be a totally viable QB for the CRADS and they totally shouldn't try to draft BT or Jake Davis.

P.S. Thanks for Tavarius Hicks, @cultur3!
