Wiki work: Rivalry game pages

Recommended Posts

After watching rivalry week all day yesterday, I decided to start updating rivalry game pages on the wiki. I would like each team to have a page for their major rivalry. I think I could update one per team at the end of every season. There'll be some overlap between rivals so hopefully it will be around 75 pages. I put who I think each team's major rival is based on this website and wikipedia. Anything with a big line and an arrow next to it means that I don't really know who their rival is and need help. Or if I'm wrong about something, let me know. WIP means work in progress and that the page hasn't been made yet or updated yet. If anyone wants to help create/update pages, that would be great. Storm's all-time game tracker is very helpful: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oxVeiCqeI41cn8gw3S6SEU_LGngMnTS_vwQ1CITzRXg/edit#gid=0

It's interesting to me that OU is Nebraska's #1 rival. @HAFFnHAFF leave a noncon spot open for me!

I would say recently USC is NDs biggest IRL rival. But they have many traditional rivals and the biggest site rivalry is probably Purdue. There's 6 or 7 rivalry pages built for ND alone.

Washington-Washington State has a rivalry page: http://cfbhc.com/wiki/index.php?title=Apple_Cup

I'll probably have one for Washington-Oregon in the next week or two.

Okay. I'll put USC as UCLA's rival, ND as USC's rival, and Purdue as ND's rival. Then all those games will be on this list somewhere.

Is Rice just a site rivalry or something? I mean it makes sense but I'm just wondering!

Yeah, there's a couple of the G5 teams that are just site rivalries. We will always play each other last week of the season. Makes more sense than you and SMU having a rivalry.

This is true, I'm pretty sure this year is the first where I play UTSA, SMU, MTSU, and Rice.

Why is everybody trying to steal my rival?  UTSA-Texas State is the rivalry.

that’s dated since they left the Big 12 and haven’t played in several years. But back when they were in the Big 12 I would say it rivaled OU-Texas as the biggest rivalry. I’m down to try to set up a series!

@Time You tryna set this up for the future or nah? I mean it's basically a guaranteed W (which is also realistic)

I have updated the other 3 rivalry pages that include WVU.

Maryland - There's a Maryland/WVU rivalry page here: http://cfbhc.com/wiki/index.php?title=West_Virginia-Maryland_football_rivalry  - IRL they are rivals who used to play every year - and are continuing their rivalry in the next few seasons.

Syracuse - Boston College and Pitt make sense.  IRL WVU/Syracuse play for a trophy and it used to be a pretty big rivalry.
