[Recruiting suggestion] - dropping AI recruited players

Recommended Posts

so I know there was some unfair arguments for inspiral2 to unilaterally declare a change, and he suggested to go through, make a request and get it approved first. I haven't seen that done, although this may not be the proper forum?

Either way: My suggestion for those coaches taking over midway through the season when the AI has been recruiting (poorly) and they are hitting the recruit cap is to allow coaches to drop/withdraw from all players with potential 2.0 or lower.

This should be a more simple fix that applies to everyone rather than sorting through when people joined. 2.0 and below players I don't think have ever been legitimate recruiting targets and dropping them shouldn't affect any realistic recruiting goals and in fact mirrors irl recruits being "pushed out". This should make it more fun and add a point to the cycle for people who got screwed by the AI, but doesn't allow for any "gaming the system" or any effects for other coaches.

While it still hampers new coaches recruiting abilities when there are more 2.5s/3.0s signed than they would have liked, that seems a reasonable approximation of what happens irl when a new coach comes in late, and the suggestion could have a limit of 2.5 or 3.0 potential recruits instead if desired.
