Mfw no Yeldon again :ranting: remember last year when people said "he has plenty of time to make it" :eyes: hard to have a better year than he just did

1492 Yards, 12 TDs, 3 fumbles, 1 lost, 5.14 average against and undoubted stacked box every game

1571 yards, 11 TDs, 3 fumbles, 0 lost, 4.97 avg while having lots more weapons around

This is why the popular vote doesnt decide Presidential elections :eyes:

Also Harrison Hacker missed one FG all year and drilled another from 59. Less mad about him but still.

Doug Aska has yet to make a Pro Bowl for those following along at home.

Doug Aska has paved the way for a 1,000 yard rusher in each of the past 5 seasons now, spanning 3 different running backs (including Fred Tindale's old, journeyman ass to 1k). He's been in the league six years. 0 Pro Bowls. 0 All Pros. :eyes:

Got to say, I'm actually pretty proud to represent the AFC in this game. Thank you everyone that voted for me. I'll be sure to give you all the exhilarating, smashmouth, 40-rush game you all crave.

It’s all good. I didn’t want to be the NFC Pro Bowl coach. It’s just the first double digit win season in franchise history and the 1 seed. Nbd.... BULLETIN BORD!!!!

For real though, congrats to all the Washington players selected to the pro bowl. 9 guys including 3 of our 5 offensive linemen is insane. Also congrats to all the alternates that will get to replace the 9 Washington players when they aren’t available for the game.

Congratulations to Kyle Pratt on making his first Pro Bowl! Took him a while to develop into the type of player who can hit 9.5 sacks -  it did help that he got to do it behind Bob Ballard though.

When we won less games, we had several pro bowlers.  Won 5 this year while ravaged with injuries and got 0.  Perhaps there's finally enough talent that the same players are no longer the only ones making plays around here anymore?

Most Pro Bowl Appearances

9 appearances: Christian Skaggs, Tyrone Jones

8 appearances: Marcellus Peterson, Justin Campbell, Jace Brown, Mike Tripplett, Brian Brown

7 appearances: Vaughn Abraham, Quentin Smith, Rodney Galbreath, Gary Faneca, Ron Rice, Andre Brooks, Kenyatta Henderson, Sean Burton, Keyshawn Thompson

6 appearances: Nick Hall, Darrell Murphy, Chester Henson, Dan Nomellini, David Wilson, Jon Zatkoff, Alvis Brumm, Jeremy Miller, David Wilburn, Justin Davis, R.C. Rone, Steve Noonan

Streaks

9 year streak: Tyrone Jones

8 year streak: Jace Brown

6 year streak: Jon Zatkoff, Ron Rice

5 year streak: Brian Brown, Troy Marshall

4 year streak: Curtis Henry, Justin Campbell, Jeremy Miller, Bob Ballard, Kenyatta Henderson

3 year streak: Terrence Rodgers, Mike Tripplett, Hudson Adam, Walter Adair, Matt Cole, Ryan Frey, Brandon Guillery

Breaking a 5 year streak of being in Pro Bowl: Darius Jones

Breaking a 4 year streak of being in Pro Bowl: Akili Wallace, Sean Jenkins, LaMont Sherriff

Breaking a 3 year streak of being in Pro Bowl: J.B. Blacknall, Daleroy Smart, Steve Noonan

Fun facts

  • Only three players from the original 2014 Pro Bowl roster made the 2023 Pro Bowl: Christian Skaggs, Marcellus Peterson, and R.C. Rone.
  • C Don Teteak made his first Pro Bowl since 2017. This 5 season gap between Pro Bowls ties the record (C Kevin Siemon, 2016 to 2022)
  • Chad Dess is the fifth player to make the Pro Bowl with 3+ teams (GB, BUF, TEN). The other 4 are Andre Brooks (NE, DET, TB), Gary Faneca (DET, SEA, BUF), George Brady (NE, KC, NO), and Rodney Galbreath who has made it with 4 teams (CIN, IND, LAC, BUF)
  • Doubt most people know this name but this guy is the best special teamer in the sim apparently: SS Brandon Guillory 5-11 201 3 Texas A&M [Zone Coverage] [0] 80. He's the 3rd string SS for PHI. He has made all 3 Pro Bowls as a special teamer (they have only been added for 3 years) and has been the 1st team All-Pro special teamer for the past two seasons.
  • Titans RB/FB duo made the Pro Bowl. Only reason this is interesting is because the RB is Chad Dess who is 6-1, 241 pounds. The FB is Ibrahim High, only 5-9, 208 pounds. Dess has 4 inches and 33 pounds on his Pro Bowl FB.

Good eye, didn't think anyone outside of our org took notice. Guy is a stud and was selected to be our ST Captain at the beginning of the 2023 season. He had a blocked FG in our week 17 overtime loss to WAS to go to the playoffs too.

By the way, you are one of five coaches to coach in two Pro Bowls. The other four are: alien, Bingo, Inspiral, Soluna. Pretty good list to be a part of. Bingo and Soluna are the only two who have represented two different teams. Azul and Slinky are both first timers.

Edit: Another note about Brandon Guillory, he was the 226th pick in the 2020 draft. A 73 rated SS. He was taken 5th to last. TE Tyler Dotson was taken 6th to last. They have combined for 5 Pro Bowls in 4 seasons. The Panthers forfeited three 7th rounders right before they were taken. Late 7th round picks do matter.
