Image result for michigan AD press conference

Ann Arbor, MI

Hello, I'd like to thank everyone for coming out here today. As many of you are aware, yesterday coach jmjacobs resigned from his position at the University of Michigan. We had been having discussions about the possibility since the beginning of the season, and we are very glad that he was able to secure a B1G championship and playoff berth on his way out. We want to once again thank coach for all he has done for this university and his efforts in maintaining our standards of excellence.

With that said, it is time for us to look to the future. I understand we have many fans out there who may be anxious about who will become the next Michigan head coach, and to that I say have faith. We have worked with jmjacobs to compile a short-list of top candidates and are in ongoing discussions as we work through the process. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards here and are looking for a proven winner, someone who can immediately step in and make both this school and this conference proud. Salary, assistant coaching demands, facilities are all things we are willing to work with the future coach on and you will be excited to see who we get.

Thank you, and Go Blue! :michigan:
