  • Southern National Media Market:
    • South Regional Media Market: TB, MIA, JAX, ATL
    • Gulf Regional Media Market: TEN, HOU, DAL, NO

Media Market Dividend Days

Four times a season two teams will be paired up in a "Media Market Dividend Day" to split income Owners will use to customize their teams. Three of the Dividend Days will be within their Regional Media Market and one will be selected at random from a team in the same National Media Market but from the other Regional Media Market. One team will be assigned randomly as the divisor and one as the selector in each matchup. A divident day works as follows:

  1. Teams are assigned to their media market matchup with one as the divisor and one as the selector.
  2. A total of 15 funds (broken into their types at random - see below) will be assigned to the matchup.
  3. The divisor breaks the 15 funds into two "piles" however they choose.
  4. The selector makes a selection of one of the two piles, the divisor receives the other pile.

Dividend Days will be Before the Season, During the Season (2x), and once after the Post-Season. For 2024 only they will be 3x During the Season, and once after the Post-Season.

Funds and Fund Types

Funds are used to customize the team, upgrade the stadium, relocate, or vote on league-wide issues (such as Super Bowl hosts, Relocation, etc). Funds can be one of the following six types in two categories. No conversion between funds is currently allowed.

Singular Fund Types

  • Personal Wealth Fund: This represents the owner's personal wealth and wealth gain and is only used for relocating a team, submitting a Super Bowl bid, and building a wealth high score.
  • Stadium Upgrade Fund: This is used to increase capacity on the current stadium, alter grass types, or build additions.
  • Influence Fund: This is used to vote on Super Bowl hosts, Relocation, or league-wide issues.

Leveling Fund Types

  • Practice Facilities Fund: This must be used to upgrade practice facilities and cannot be saved.
  • Medical Facilities Fund: This must be used to upgrade medical facilities and cannot be saved.
  • Media Facilities Fund: This must be used to upgrade media facilities and cannot be saved.

Singular Fund Types

These accrue and are never reduced unless spent.

Benefits from Singular Fund Types

Personal Wealth

  • Relocation: Relocation requires approval from the league via a league wide vote (using influence) and more than 2/3 of all influence must be in favor. Additionally costs a fee of 100 funds + a proposal and funds for a new stadium + a design for a new logo and name that must pass 50% approval in a league-wide vote.
  • Super Bowl Bid: 20 Funds
  • Logo Redesign: 20 Funds and 2/3 Majority Vote Approval

Stadium Upgrades

  • Construction of New Stadium or Stadium Upgrade Costs (modifiers for the below stadium characteristics to be provided in near future):
    • Base: 200 Funds (60,000 seats w/ no roof over viewers or field; includes natural grass)
    • Artificial Turf: +20 Funds
    • Roof over Spectators: +40 Funds
    • Dome: +100 Funds (does not required "Roof over Spectators")
    • Retractable Roof: +120 Funds
    • Every additional 2,000 seats: +20 Funds

Influence

  • Spent on league-wide issues voting and is not retained after being used.

Leveling Fund Types

Leveling funds are spent immediately upon being gained. Every ten gained provide a "level up" for that type. Every 4 levels gained provides a benefit to the team while the team has at least that many complete levels. (So 40 points are required to get the first upgrade).

To represent the league-wide advancement of facilities between seasons each of the three types of leveling funds (and thus facilities) will be randomly reduced by 3-10 funds for all teams with a minimum of 0. (For example all 32 teams might have their medical reduced by 7 (or 0.7 levels) - it will always be the same for all teams). There is a maximum of 20 levels attainable currently.

People have been requesting something to make the primetime games more impactful, beginning with this week the following applies:

Additional changes for the Owner role funds related to Prime Time Games (TNF/SNF/MNF):

Thursday Night Football: The winner of the TNF game steals 1 media fund from the loser of the game. Nothing happens in a tie and the loser team can go below 0 to negative funds (only way to go below 0).

Sunday Night Football: Winner gains two personal wealth funds. The loser gaines one personal wealth fund.

Monday Night Football The winner of the MNF game steals 1 media fund from the loser of the game. Nothing happens in a tie and the loser team can go below 0 to negative funds (only way to go below 0).

ALSO PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST MAKE A NEW POST FOR A GAMEPLAN EACH WEEK FROM NOW ON OR THEY WILL NOT COUNT. I WILL GIVE YOU GUYS A MONTH GRACE PERIOD BUT AFTER THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE A VALID GAMEPLAN.

Further clarification on Stadiums and how they affect Home Field Skill Advantage:

Each year in age reduces a stadium's home skill advantage by 0.4 points but is rounded to the nearest whole number for the calculation.

Renovating the stadium (going forward will be defined as construction a new roof or expanding capacity) will bump the value up by half of the original value from the initial construction capacity.

Spectator roofs add 10% - 2% for every 10 years of stadium age (not roof age).

After 40 years, for every 10 years, stadiums will regain 2% home field skill advantage as a sort of legacy/legend advantage.

The calculation to determine the stadium home field skill advantage at any time is:

HFSKADV = [(Capacity Advantage - ROUNDED(Age * 0.4)) + Renovation + SpectatorRoofCalc] + Wins + RANDBETWEEN(-3,3)

Capacity Advantage: 10% at 60,000 or less seats and increases by 1% every 2,000 additional seats.

Age: Years

Renovation: If it has happened, 0.5*Original Stadium Capacity

Wins: Current wins in the season, resets each offseason.

Spectator Roof Calc: If roof present, 10%-2% for every 10 years of stadium age

Example: Homefield Skill Advantage Calculation for this week's TNF matchup: Chicago Bears (4-3) at Minnesota Vikings (3-3)

Vikings Stadium: [(13% - ROUNDED(9*0.4)) + 0 + 10] + 3 + RANDBETWEEN(-3,3)

Result: Random value between 19% to 25%
