    1. 1. Who did it better?

Well, this time, I got 8 responses.

But, I'm only counting 7 of them. *stares at Skaggs*

Anyway, here are the user power rankings, sorted by the average ranking a team received.

The one instance in which teams received the same average ranking is broken by highest ranking received.

    Some interesting notes:

    • The users and I had the Dolphins (1), Packers (2), Raiders (5), Saints (9), Vikings (10), Panthers (13), Browns (16), Jaguars (17), and Texans (20) in the exact same spots. These 9 teams are 2 more than the last time I did this.
    • The Jets had the largest discrepancy between highest and lowest rankings and uncoincidentally, the highest standard deviation of rankings as well. A high ranking of 8 and low ranking of 17 will do that, though.
    • The bottom five teams in the league seem to be solidified in both the voters' and my minds - 4 AFC teams and 1 NFC team, and that 1 NFC team was the #1 seed in the entire conference last season while none of the AFC teams made the playoffs last year (though one is expansion).
    • The biggest discrepancy between my rankings and the user rankings are both the Buccaneers and Jets, who swapped spots (8 and 11 in the user rankings respectively, versus 11 and 8 in mine).
    • The Jaguars received only one vote that wasn't for 17th place (one 18th place vote) while the Browns received only one vote that wasn't for 16th place (one 15th place vote).

For those who want to vote in the poll, here's that handy comparison list sorted by average ranking again:

Let me know what you think of the users' power rankings compared to mine! Should I continue this idea?

Continue it. I'd say recruit some people to specifically release a power poll with you. You're Sagarin. Find yourself a few people who don't mind release public power polls.

I didn't count Skaggs because they moved Panthers to #1 and then just left the rest of the teams in order, exactly like last time.

Interesting. It's hard to get people to do this on a week-to-week basis, but I may do something along those lines soon.
