Recommended Posts

November 29th - The CFBHC Hall of Fame Committee has decided on the list of nominees for the first ever Hall of Fame class, the class of 2016. After some deliberation, the committee has settled upon just three nominees to be considered for the class of 2016. By appearing on this list, they are not guaranteed a spot in the Hall, but will be on the ballot which will be discussed and voted upon for the next week. Next Saturday, December 6th, the voting results will be released to the public and those inducted will find themselves forever enshrined in CFBHC History.

The the requirements that must be met for consideration that the committee has decided on in order to maintain that only the best will be a part of the hall are as follows:

1. A player must have been on either an All-Conference Team, All-Bowl Team, an All-American, or won an individual award to be nominated.

2. A coach must have won either a national championship, conference championship, or coach of the year award.

3. A player or coach is eligible on the third season after his last year. i.e. Nu Battles finished in 2013, so he is eligible for the class of 2016.

The voting process is as follows:

Step 1: A player or coach is nominated by one of the members at or near the end of a season.

Step 2: Second member must second the nomination to proceed

Step 3: The members all vote on the nominees.

Step 4: If a nominee gets 3/5ths of the vote, the nominee is inducted into the CFBHC HoF

Without further delay, I would like to congratulate the nominees for the class of 2016. Just by appearing on this list, you have established yourself as one of the greats to have seen the field in CFBHC.

If the 2013 season stats page is at all reliable.

Trace Buchanon, RB, 2013 Senior - 11 games, 11 100+ yards rushing games 1993 rushing yards, 23 TD's, 1 FUM, 5.31 YPC 181 YPG

Wasn't here first season but that's pretty damn good. Was a 3.5 guy too. I think he was in BIG 12 All conference team. Most rushing yards in a season so far on the sim.

Either way this is cool :D <3

So wait. For the 3 year after coach rule, is that 3 years after they leave the program?

I think in the end that rule won't exist for coaches since most of us won't leave this site until we die

A lot of good players didn't make the list, but keep in mind that just cause they didn't get nominated this season, it doesn't mean they'll never get nominated

My bad LDYo, didn't realize there were two all conference RBs. Knew Sterling was ahead of him.

How many do you plan on inducting per season?

There is not a set number, we'll induct as many as we think deserve it

Why is it that only 3/5 HOF committee members must approve? If a player is truly good enough, unanimity is no problem. This is a recipe for a bunch of decent but not once in a decade players getting in based on hype. It makes me sad.

Please wait till the first vote actually happens before complaining that it is bad, thanks! :)

At that point it'll be too late.
