In the inaugural 2013 CFBHC season, the 2013 LSU Tigers went 14-1 and won the College Fooball Playoff championship. Led by head coach The Ugly the Tigers suffered only a single loss to Alabama on the road in week 8, before winning the SEC championship over Florida 20-10, the national semi-final over Florida State 21-13, and the national championship over Michigan 22-7.

Before the season LSU was considered a contender for the national championship. The offense was lead by first year starting quarterback Aaron Devereaux and star running-back Vaughn Abaham, while the defense was lead by outside linebacker Tyrone Jones.
