Rankings from Coaches Poll

The 2013 Penn State Nittany Lions represented Pennsylvania State University in the 2013 CFBHC Season. The team was coached by Soluna and played its home games in Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania. They were a member of the East Division of the Big Ten. Penn State played in the 2013 Rose Bowl against the Michigan Wolverines as part of the CFBHC Playoff system.

Before the season Penn State was seen as part of the cluster at the bottom of the Coaches Poll and was expected to finish with a bowl game. Derek Keys won the quarterback competition early and, in combination with running back Keith Dunn and wide receiver Walt Peck, was able to achieve lasting success.

Penn State opened the season with four straight non-conference wins and didn't lose until the third Big Ten game, versus Michigan. Following the Michigan game the Nittany Lions were 6-1 and went on to win three of their final four conference games before ending the season with a win in their final non-conference game in Blacksburg versus Virginia Tech.

Several players earned national and conference recognition, headlined by wide receiver Walt Peck and defensive end Alvis Brumm.
