The 2014 Virginia Cavaliers football season began on the road against Penn State in week one. They played as a member of the ACC, in the Coastal division. They earned their first Bowl birth and finished the season 8-5 overall. This was Coach npklemm's first full season as coach. Preston Gill was the first All-American in school history.
