Rankings from Coaches Poll

The 2015 Big 12 Championship Game was the 3rd championship game for the Big 12 Conference. #4 Oklahoma, the Big 12 North representative, defeated #2 and previously undefeated Texas Tech, the Big 12 South representative, with a last-minute touchdown pass from Norris Brooksheer to Kavika Russell to win 14-10.

Teams

Texas Tech

The Texas Tech Red Raiders rode a dominant defense and a balanced offensive attack to the Big 12 South title. They finished the regular season 12-0, allowed just 2 opponents to score 10 points or more (Miami and Syracuse) and allowed just two teams to come within one score of them (Northwestern, Syracuse). They did not give up a touchdown in regular season conference play. They are led by Glenn White at quarterback, who is among the nation's most accurate quarterbacks, and Dave Pagac at tailback. On defense, they are led by Jeremy Miller, who led the nation in sacks with 13 in the regular season.

Oklahoma Sooners

The Oklahoma Sooners rode a dominant offense and an opportunistic defense to the Big 12 North title. They ripped off to a 6-0 start with dominant road wins over Ohio State and Notre Dame and rose up to #1 in the country by Week 5. A Week 7 loss in the final minute to Kansas was their only setback, and they followed it up with five straight wins in conference play to rally and take the division title. They are led by sophomore phenom Norris Brooksheer at quarterback, Greg Hadnot at halfback, and Tai Miller at wide receiver. In the regular season, Brooksheer led the country in passer rating among all quarterbacks who have played in half or more of their games; Hadnot led the Big 12 in yards per carry; Tai Miller led the country in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns; and cornerback Lee Davis tied for the national lead in interceptions with 7.
