The 2017 Miami Dolphins season was the franchise's 4th season in the National Football League. Behind a lethal offense led by second-year QB Brian Brown and WR Rodney Montgomery, the Dolphins scored the most points in the league (480). But a fierce defense led by middle linebacker Kevin Harris and strong safety Dane Wilson would not be left behind, allowing only 203 points to also lead the league in this category. Miami also nearly completed the first undefeated season in league history; only a narrow 13-10 loss to the New York Jets in week 14 prevented that.

The Dolphins continued their winning ways after that, not dropping another game the rest of the year. That led to a dominant playoff run that culminated in their 26-17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl IV. Soluna earned both Head Coach and Head Executive of the Year awards stemming from his work this season.
