The 2018 Big 12 Championship Game was the 6th championship game for the Big 12 Conference. North champion Kansas defeated South champion TCU, 17-13.

Kansas

Kansas clinched a title game berth in week 13 after defeating Baylor 17-16 on a last-minute touchdown pass from Eric Jennings to Malcolm Davis. They swept the rest of the North Division, but losses to Texas and Texas Tech put their division chances in peril until they were able to clinch the division in Waco. They were led by all-time leading Jayhawk passer Eric Jennings and fifth-year head coach stormstopper. This was their second Big 12 title game appearance.

TCU

TCU clinched the outright South championship in week 14 after Texas Tech's loss to Baylor eliminated them from contention. They had already done their part by racing out to a 10-0 (6-0) start highlighted by dramatic wins over Texas, Baylor, and Iowa State along the way; they would finish 11-1 (6-1) with a loss to Texas Tech. They were led by all-time leading Horned Frog passer Nathan Burden and sixth-year head coach DangerZoneh. This was their first-ever Big 12 title game appearance.
