The 2022 Seattle Seahawks season is the seventh season for the franchise in NFLHC. The team merely hoped to reverse their fortunes from last year's disastrous showing, as all experts expected the Los Angeles Rams to easily win the division.
The season didn't start well as the Seahawks lost their first four games, but they were not out of the NFC West race as every other NFCW team to that point had lost all their out-of-division games as well. Soon after Seattle turned things around primarily riding a tough and newly stiffened defense. After Booker T. Washington was traded to Baltimore, Marcus Williams took control of the running game and rewarded the team's faith in him rushing for over 1000 yards on the season. Seattle won nine of their last twelve games and tied Carolina in Week 13 during Monday Night Football. The following week the Seahawks clinched perhaps the unlikeliest division title in NFLHC history after defeating the Chicago Bears in Week 14. Starting QB Jarius Jones was given a couple of weeks off to rest but suffered a shoulder injury in Week 17 against Arizona that cost him a chance to play in his first-ever playoff game. While 3rd-round pick Tucker Dowden played brilliantly when Jones was resting, the short preparation proved too much for the rookie and Seattle fell at home to the Detroit Lions 35-7.
