Selection order
The selection order for the first round was as follows. Two teams do not have a first-round selection: Indianapolis who traded it to Denver for running back J.B. Blacknall, and Pittsburgh who traded it to Tampa Bay for quarterback Taylor Heiden. The selection order for subsequent rounds will follow the order of the first round, except that teams with the same record and same playoff result will rotate among their respective groups (these groups are indicated by the bold gray lines in the table below).
