College career
Rock committed to the Pittsburgh Panthers, and was redshirted for his first season in 2017.
2018 Season
Rock was benched for the first 3 games of 2018, but due to the ineffectiveness of senior John Adams, coach Jumbo moved him to starter. He finished a solid freshman season with 35 tackles.
2019 Season
Rock improved somewhat in 2019 with 52 tackles.
