Draft
Brumm was selected with the 16th overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NFLHC Draft by the New York Jets despite not having visited with the team.
2014 Season
Brumm had one of the best regular seasons for a defensive player, ending the year with 13 sacks, 27 solo tackles, and 1 fumble recovered in 11 games. He was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year and made the NFL All-Pro Team. Brumm's 13 sacks were an NFL record until he broke it during the 2018 New York Jets season.
2015 Season
Brumm continued his dominance as the Jets switched to a 4-3 defense. Brumm recorded 10 sacks through 7 games but only had 3 in the final 7, though he was dealing with some injury problems with his hand while still playing through. Brumm once again led the NFL in sacks. He also qualified for the 2015 Pro Bowl.
2016 Season
Brumm had yet another strong year, being named All-Pro once again. Though he did not lead the league in sacks for the first time in his career, he still had a strong season overall. In week 5 against the Bengals, he injured Blake Shell, causing him to be out for 4 weeks.
2017 Season
Brumm re-signed with the Jets on a 4 year, $58 million deal prior to the season. He returned to his previous form, once again leading NFLHC in sacks with 11.5.
2018 Season
Brumm had yet another successful season for the Jets; he broke his own career record for sacks with 14.5, though this tied with Frank Williams' season total. He also recorded his first 2 career interceptions. He helped lead a successful Jets defense to the #1 seed in the AFC despite long-term injuries to starting QB Erik Wegert, RB O.J. Carano, and LT Darnerien Sohn.
