Draft
Medina was selected with the 33rd overall pick in the 2015 NFLHC Draft. He was the third receiver selected, after Mike Tripplett and Richard Wilson.
2015 Season
Though David Gaines had made the Pro Bowl the previous year, Medina earned the #1 WR position for the Jets. Though he still made some plays long, with the Jets' QB problems he struggled slightly.
2016 Season
There was a lot of hype for Medina going into the season as the #1 target for Erik Wegert. Unfortunately, Medina disappointed as he and Wegert could not find a rapport and Medina was eventually passed by rookie 5th rounder Charlie Paul on the depth chart, in addition to second round rookie Jim Umenyiora.
2017 Season
Following his disappointing season, the Jets made Medina available in the 2017 NFLHC Expansion Draft. The Steelers selected him with the 15th pick of the draft, giving the Jets a 3rd round compensatory pick and re-uniting Medina with former QB Onterrio Smith.
