Bashir Rodriguez (January 17, 1991) is an American football Cornerback for the San Francisco 49ers. He played college football at Georgia Tech. He was selected in the 2nd Round, with the 26th overall pick by the Carolina Panthers in the 2015 NFLHC Draft. After spending two seasons with the Panthers, he was traded in the offseason to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for the 49ers' 2017 3rd and 4th Round draft picks.

College Career
Rodriguez spent four years at Georgia Tech. In 2013, he became earned a starting spot with the team. Rodriguez performed well that year, but the spotlight was on his teammate, Jermaine Johnson. It wasn't until 2014 that Rodriguez came into his own, finishing second in the ACC in interceptions with 4.

Rodriguez was selected in the 2nd Round with the 26th overall pick by the Carolina Panthers during the 2015 NFLHC Draft. He was the 4th cornerback taken in the Draft and the 2nd by Carolina. The team took Nate Tensi just 9 picks before. Rodriguez received a 4 year/$28 million contract.
