Draft
Kolodziej was not invited to the combine. In the 2020 NFLHC Draft, the Tennessee Titans selected Kolodziej in the 7th round. The coaching staff was impressed with his production in his final season in college.
Tennessee Titans
Kolodziej was drafted to be a backup for Kareem Taylor and played that role for his first two seasons but did get an opportunity against the Raiders in his rookie season due to a minor injury to Taylor. Kolodziej would beat the Raiders, throwing 4 touchdowns. This ultimately gave the advantage for the Titans over the Raiders to gain a wild card berth in the 2018 playoffs. Kolodziej did not see the field in 2019 but returned to action in 2020 after QB Alexander Williams had an ACL injury. Kolodziej started the final 6 games of the season, going 2-4 and throwing 14 TDs to 13 INTs. The Titans signed Thomas Wheeler in free agency before the 2021 season. Kolodziej was the backup QB for the 2021 season but did not see any playing time. The Titans were planning on him being the backup QB for the 2022 season but he suffered a severe foot fracture in the preseason and was on the injured reserve for the rest of the season.
