Paul was considered a draftable prospect but was expected to be selected on the second or third day of the draft.

Draft

Paul was selected with the 107th overall pick of the 2016 NFLHC Draft by the New York Jets.

2016 Season

Paul was tabbed as the slot receiver for his rookie season. He surprised most by emerging as the Jets' #1 with Austin Medina struggling and Jim Umenyiora out injured. He led the Jets in receptions and yards in his rookie year.

2017 Season

Following a solid performance in his rookie season, Paul was expected to be the #2 receiver following Medina's departure. After Umenyiora sustained an injury, Paul became the #1 receiver once again.

2018 Season

Paul's rookie contract expired and he signed a 3 year, $15.6 million extension. During the 2018 NFLHC Draft, the Jets traded for Ravens receiver Paul Howell, putting Paul in the #2 position once again. As the #2 receiver, Paul improved his stats from the previous year slightly. He became the Jets' all-time leading receiver during this season.

2019 Season

Paul earned his first 1,000 yard season and was the 2nd leading receiver on the team to Howell once again.
