Hoag was selected with the 104th overall pick in the 3rd round of the 2017 NFLHC Draft, which was considered a bit of a reach by some experts.

New York Jets

Hoag had a successful rookie year, including becoming the first kicker in NFLHC history to hit 3 50+ FGs in a season. He did miss 2 games in his second season, but had perhaps the best moment of his career in the Divisional Playoffs against Miami. Down 16-17, Hoag hit a field goal as time expired to give the Jets their first ever playoff win.
