cmcgill is currently the coach of the LSU Tigers. He is also the owner/general manager of the Houston Texans and the manager of Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Coaching Career

cmcgill took over the Kentucky Wildcats during the 2014 season and continued to coach the team through the 2017 season. When the head coach of the LSU Tigers The Ugly left the school before the 2015 season there were some rumblings cmcgill would leave Kentucky for his alma mater but he stayed for two more season. Two seasons later new head coach TheCrimsonChin left to coach his alma mater the Georgia Bulldogs, leaving the LSU job open again. This time cmcgill could no longer ignore the call of coaching his alma mater and has been the head coach of the Tigers since the 2018 season.

Controversy

Some LSU supporters were against the hiring of cmcgill due to his middling career at the University of Kentucky. The coach was never able to win more than 8 games in a season at Kentucky and had never won a bowl game. After his first season in Baton Rouge the criticism picked up once again when the Tigers only won 8 games and lost their bowl game. This brought the head coach's post season record to 0-5 (.000) and many fans have openly questioned the ability of cmcgill to get the LSU Tigers back to the national championship.
