The Colorado State Rams are a member of the Mountain West Conference, playing in the Mountain Division.

History

Slaughterhouse-Five era (2014-2018)

Slaughterhouse-Five was the first coach in Colorado State history. He accrued a 27-34 record during his tenure as head coach. His best season was in 2016, when he led the Rams to a 10-2 regular season record and the Rams first bowl game. However, after disappointing performances in 2017 and 2018, Slaughterhouse-Five resigned as head coach.

Bellwoodbomb611 era (2019-2021)

Coach Bellwood was hired at the start of the 2019 season. In his first year, he went 5-7. After the early declaration of Devin Conroy, the Rams went a disappointing 5-7 in 2020 again. However, in 2021, the Rams went 8-5 and won their first ever bowl game. Bellwood ended his tenure with a record of 18-19, and a talented roster for the future.

Ahven D'Gale era (2022-present)

Coach D'Gale was hired at the start of the 2022 season. Despite returning much of the production from the successful 2021 campaign, a predictable offense led to a disappointing 5-8 season. The Rams did earn their first Division crown by virtue of a head-to-head win over Air Force. The season ended with a loss in the Conference Championship game.
