Denario Jackson is a football tight end for the Pittsburgh Panthers football team.

High school career

Jackson played wide receiver in high school, and he was known for his red zone prowess despite his height.

Recruitment

Jackson chose Pitt over an offer from NC State.

College career

2014 Season

Jackson was not redshirted his freshman season, but he served as backup to TE Erik Mims. He did not record any stats, though the coaches noted that he was excelling in practice.

2015 Season

Jackson was installed as the starting tight end after Mims' graduation. Jackson had a good year for Pitt, setting the all-time mark for TD catches in a season (9); 9 TD catches is actually enough to put Jackson at the top of Pitt's all-time leaderboard for TD receptions.

2016 Season

Jackson was named a captain going into the 2016 season.
