Doug Aska is an American football Offensive Guard for the New Orleans Saints. He played college football at The University of Miami. The Cardinals selected him in the 1st round (17th overall pick) of the 2018 NFLHC Draft.

Professional Career

Draft

Aska was considered one of the best offensive line prospects in the 2018 Draft. Many praised his completeness as a player as he exhibited fantastic technique during his college career as well as possessing great strength and quickness. He went into the draft considered a top 20 prospect.

Aska had a fantastic combine which solidified his draft position, he excelled in field drills showing off his quick feet and power when going against some of the drafts promising pass rushers.

Arizona Cardinals

Aska was selected by the Cardinals in the first round. He was brought in as an immediate starter to add quality to an offensive line which ranked as one of the worst the year before and to help protect the Cardinals inaugural first round pick Jarius Jones.

He was the 2nd Guard taken and 4th overall Offensive Lineman.

The Cardinals picked up Aska's 5th year option for the 2022 Season.

After failing to come to terms on a long-term contract, Aska was signed to the transition tag for the 2023 Season.

During 2023 Mid-season re-signings, Aska agreed to terms on a 3 year, 34.5 million extension, keeping him in Arizona through at least 2026. 72.46% of the deal was guaranteed.

New Orleans Saints

Following a winless streak to start the 2024 season, Aska was traded to the Saints, along with OT Kevin Grey and a 2026 6th round selection, for QB Nicholas Garland, DE Shamar Manning, OLB Jamir Sample, OG Logan Romano, a 2025 2nd round selection, a 2025 6th round selection, and a 2026 4th round selection.
