Eli Tuitama is the all time leading rusher and starting running back for the East Carolina Pirates. Along with being the leading rusher, he is also the all time leading scorer, and holds just about every rushing record the school has to offer. Since taking over the starting job in 2018, he has had two consecutive seasons of over 1200 rushing yards, and over 10 touchdowns both seasons.
Early Years
Eli Tuitama attended Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda Maryland. Eli was one of the biggest athletes at his school as he ran track, wrestled, and of course played football. He was able to go to state finals in wrestling, as well as help lead his team to the playoffs. Many schools were recruiting him for a FB position, ECU recognized his ability as a power runner and recruited him to be a Running back.
