Eric Jones (born November 23rd, 1993) is an American football Linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings. He played college football at LSU. The Vikings selected him in the fifth round of the 2016 NFLHC Draft.

Personal Life
Eric Jones is the twin brother of Baltimore Ravens linebacker Tyrone Jones. Both Eric and Tyrone decided to attend LSU coming out of high school.
College Career
Eric Jones attended LSU for 5 years, redshirting his first year on campus. Although he was often behind the shadow of his brother Tyrone, Eric put up great numbers at LSU and was a three year starter. During his final year at LSU, Jones led the LSU defense and was finally able to run the show with brother Tyrone in the NFL. He had an extremely productive season, leading the team in tackles with 68 while adding 3 sacks and 2 interceptions.

Professional Career
In the 2016 NFLHC Draft, the Minnesota Vikings selected Jones in the fifth round. It was the second "steal" of their draft according to GM TheCrimsonChin. "We were seriously considering taking him in the fourth round, but decided to go in a different direction. You can imagine our surprise when he showed back up in the fifth round, as a comp pick, no less."
The day after the draft, Jones signed a two-year contract with the Vikings worth approximately $2.5 million.
